The latest release from Sound Avenue finds label stalwarts Madloch & Subnode pairing with Pedro Capelossi for their debut EP. Hailing from Brazil but now based in Spain, Pedro Capelossi first appeared in 2018 with releases via One Of A Kind and Soundteller Records. His progressive minded productions quickly found favour with genres key tastemakers, making him one of the years top up and coming talents. Fast forward two years and the Barcelona resident has retooled his sound, focusing on a deeper, more organic studio process that has been showcased on Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, RYNTH and Dream Culture Is. Similarly, Belgium production team Madloch and Subnode have continued to evolve as studio partners, with the July release of 'Abyssal' showcasing a dubby, meditative quality that once again proves their creative prowess has no boundary. Now fresh off the release of their 'Pattern Lock' single, Madloch and Subnode collaborate with Pedro Capelossi on a two track showcase entitled 'Turmeric Latte'.

Our second release of 2020 and it's five tracks of warmth, depth and party-starting realness from the land of the Danes.
'Ari' is the house and techno alias of the Copenhagen producer and DJ known as Fat Pony. This year he has a few releases primed under both aliases - firstly as 'Ari' with us (No Guestlist 2 Nite - 0G2N), with Fat Pony numbers on MOAG and SVR.
For this debut EP, first up we have 'The Island', a mysterious bounce-inducing roller in the vein of Solomun if he was into 60s B-movies. Next up we have 'Lost' - a deeper more optimistic cut than the title suggests, all warm pads and arps, reminiscent of Daniel Wang. The soundtrack of a Danish flaneur in summertime Tokyo perhaps?
On the flipside 'Ari' enlists Danish producer 'Lundberg'. From the rhythm riding fire of 'Forget It' to the edgy stabs of Copenhagen at 3am on 'Danish Bounce', the EP closes out with 'Hound' a late night tech-edged house belter.

Mattr aka Matthew Clugston is a producer and DJ from Birmingham living in London. Having put on several of his own parties in his home town. Mattr aka Matthew Clugston is a leftfield house, breaks, and techno producer from Birmingham, now living in London. With residencies dating back to his hometown at Code with Steve Lawler as well as supporting gigs for Sasha & Danny Tenaglia, Mattr would share decks with the likes of Tale of Us & Jamie Jones before hosting his own events with fellow innovator Alex Banks as well as Maxxi Soundsystem, and XXXY, to name a few. It was from there that he made the move to Berlin to study music production & performance and where he'd form a friendship with label partner, Max Winstanley (Lewyn Stan)who he paired up with to launch their Helical Scan imprint.

‘SubDivs’ kicks off the EP with dreamy melodic flutters, blissful leads and warm, shimmering low frequencies underneath before ‘Cygnus’ offers up a breaks-tinged cut featuring growling bass notes, syncopated, scatty rhythms and angelic pads that harmonises all under multiple alluring soundscapes ~ perfectly fitting to the origin of its name, being the Milky Way's northern constellation.

Next up, ‘Enterica’ progresses into a euphoric atmospheric cut peppered with deep resonations and alleviating melodies until the bright, experimental house track ‘Cruzi’ rounds off proceedings with revolving, warped modulations, choppy vocal samples, rattling highs and reverberating kicks, giving it a burst of synth-driven energy throughout.

Next remix of Yamil's 'POL Talks' LP comes all the way from Spain, @Thimblemusic has been responsible for taking to the next level Yamil's single 'Encontrarnos' featuring Colombian's music band @MNKYBSNSS. 

@Thimblemusic's passion for electronic music and experimentation, makes his songs are not subject to a particular style, passing through sounds such as afro house, Deep house, deep-tech and sometimes with Indie influences. His music is loaded with harmonies that evoke deep sensations, combining rhythms in which a mixture is observed between the electronic and the organic. 

We can see his character as a producer on this remix. By raising the bpm and adding a powerful and organic groove, this is a perfect Indie Dance song to raise the temperature on any dance floor around the world. Hardly classifiable into one genre, Thimble has been able to maintain the original essence of the song but taking it in a more dance-floor focused direction where the melodies and the vocals meet.
