Blondy is known for her high energy selections behind the decks. Shes been playing ragga drum and bass and jungle since late 2020.
Recently shes become more immersed in the fast pace genre of raggatek and jungletek. She is heavily influenced by labels like Jungle Cakes, Riot Dubs, Deep in the Jungle, Tribe of Dub, Kaotik and Dub Shotta.

She's played at a number of different nights held across South Wales and in Bristol in the last 2 years, supporting the finest in the scene including; Bukem, Aries, Dwaine Whyte, Coco Bryce, Kelvin 373, Upgrade, Bennie, Arkala Dre, Frenzee & Mr. Traumatik, Toby Ross, Carasel, Original Sin, Bou, K-Motionz and Hybrid Minds.

Whilst her sound pivots around sub genres and other bass music, Blondy still sets out to create a degree of uniqueness to each and every one of her mixes.
Diagnosed with Arthritis and Fibromyalgia during childhood, a condition that she once struggled to accept, it has now become centric to her career.

Her alias serves as both a reminder with her past existing music life and her pre-existing life with her hyperactive, bubbly and adrenaline-fulled approach to DJing living in perfect harmony with her equally high-octane set style.
Mighty but mellow Blondy is also heavily affiliated with Cardiffs very own pioneering independant Streetwear collective 'Concrete junglists', whose mission of bringing a "extra dimension of fresh, delightful, polished sounds to our already beautiful dance music culture" navigates her ambitions in the industry.

Blondy has recently set up a Newport collective called shella.npt hosting monthly multigenre events in her home town.

#63 BLONDY

We first came across SuM when he released his Liondub Street Series EP, which fully blew us away. Straight away plans were drawn up to make a link with him and get him affiliated with the Ghetto Dub brand. Turns out, he was already a big fan of the label and so it wasn't long before the title track 'Guided Trip' was handed to us on a piece of blotting paper. 

The finished EP is like the Soundtrack to an acid-fuelled weekend festival session, starting out with the high energy marching steppa 'Hype The Funk' on which he has collaborated with Ghetto Dubs boss-man Vinyl Junkie. The intro sets the tone with summer vibes and hedonistic rave synths before it drops into a jaw breaking bassline. Menacing vocal chants and rave signals carry you along until the 'Guided Trip' begins, lifting you up into another dimension from the dirt and grit of everyday life with the illest of bass sounds and the coolest intergalactic FX.

If that wasn't enough and you still feel the need for more funk and flavour then 'I Need Some Shroomz' will get you 'High as a Kite' and mash up your mind even more, hitting you round the head with heavy rolling basslines and shuffley toe-tapping drum rhythms. leaving you a crumpled mess on the floor. Hallucinating so heavily now that you could have sworn you were on a Star Wars film set.
