The distancing and space I craved

Time

Giles Stelfox is an indie artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Reading, UK; his unique sound fuses hard hitting indie-rock guitars, live drums and lush synth pop soundscapes topped with his heartfelt lyrical stories of romance, obsession, euphoria and self-reflection. Giles self produces all his records and recreates them live using his spectacular live looping show, challenging the very definition of live performance. 

Giles was a semi-finalist at The Pilton Stage, Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition in 2022, performing in front of music industry legends inc. Michael Eavis (Glastonbury Festival founder). His  ’Live at Studio 91 Sessions' were showcased by  virtual festival ‘VOxjam’ in 2021. “An ingenious artist who manages to flesh out his pop songs with just himself and his own wizardry" - Shaun Keaveny, BBC Radio 6. 

He started his solo career in 2018, establishing his sound and style with singles 'Your Intentions' and 'Heart You Hide', produced by Platinum-selling producer, Sam Winfield (Studio 91). In 2020, he released personal favourites 'You Talk Dirty With Wine' and 'Why Do We Lose Them?'.

After a songwriting hiatus, he resumed work on new music in 2023 after performing as a covers musician in bars and clubs across the UK. Over 200 gigs later, Giles rediscovered his desire to write again.  Inspired by  artists ‘Glass Animals’, ‘Foals’ & ‘The 1975’,  Giles'  huge new rock meets indie-disco track ‘Give Me Tonight’ is out NOW.
