Having graced Anjunadeep in the past with remixes of Michael Cassette and Paronator, we're delighted to welcome the first full release from a true pioneer - and now friend - in Tom Middleton. One half of the revered Global Communication outfit with Mark Pritchard, and a iconic veteran of the electronic music scene in his own right, Tom has released a wealth of forward-thinking, emotive tracks under a number of aliases over the years, as well as mixing iconic compilations such as "The Sound Of The Cosmos", "Renaissance 3D" and "Fabric 26".

"WYV AUW CHU" / "GODA CEE YUU" sees Tom bring his classic Liquatech mix of deep immersive bass and lush melodies into 2013 with style. An instant fan-favourite from James Grant's "Anjunadeep 05" mix, "WYV AUW CHU" melds intricate, unwinding melodies with deep low-end bass frequencies and a mesmeric vocal refrain. The result is a brilliantly rich fusion of old school progressive influences and contemporary deep house, showcasing Tom's talent for creating anthemic electronic music. 

Following it up is the deeper, dubbier "GODA CEE YUU". A sophisticated house groover with another seductive vocal theme, "GODA CEE YUU" is carried along by an infectious baseline and progresses through an uplifting, spacey breakdown and some classic Middleton atmospherics. It features in both original and dub form.  

Completing the EP in style are the ambient and beatless versions of "WYV AUW CHU", which slow down the original's unravelling melodics into a muted, but mesmerising euphoria. Both multi-textured and epic, these mixes hark back to Global Communcation's 1994 ambient masterpiece, the genre-defining "76:14".

One of this years exciting new additions to the Anjunadeep family, Universal Solution aka Gavin Holland brings us an impressive debut EP, following on from the recent success of his two contributions to James Grant's Anjunadeep 05 CD.

The captivating "Yukon", one of the aforementioned Anjunadeep 05 favourites, is a blissful and dreamy affair full of interwoven melodies, subtle atmospherics and classic progressive influences. 

"Tora Bora" sees Universal Solution exploring deeper territories, combining trademark rolling percussion with rich, warm pads, reminiscent of classic 90's US house. Meanwhile the lazy groove unravels as delicate melodies play off washing soundscapes in this hypnotic gem. 

"String Therapy" starts with a simple percussive groove and gradually flows into a dreamy cruise built around eery melodies and shimmering cymbals. Slow-burning and sophisticated, "String Therapy" is a showcase of Holland's flair for subtlety.

The brilliant Tom Middleton, one of Gavin's biggest influences, turns in a typically masterful remix of "Yukon". Fusing the intricate melodies of the original with a sumptuous rising bassline results in a classic Middleton anthem, complete with a mammoth breakdown.

To say the arrival of the Swedish trio 'Monitor 66' onto the scene has been explosive would be a pretty big understatement. House of Disco Records is proud to have taken them under their proverbial wing for the labels first single release, the swede's ethereal anthem 'Triscuits'. This track made huge waves when first shown to the world gaining strong support from 'The Magician' and a whole host of others at the top of their game. 

The track itself floats somewhere between the dance floor and the cumulous clouds above, lulling you to sleep while at the same time invigorating you. Grounded by a vocal sample from an old Keith Sweat track 'Triscuits' glides on a bed of warm synths and vocal stabs that will haunt your memory and a breakdown that reminds you of the timeless nature of just plain old good music. House of Disco Records have recruited some serious talent to re-interpret and remix this one. Multi-platinum record selling musician and record producer, Glenn Morrison is the archetype of the modern DJ/producer star. The 37-year-old Toronto native is as happy rocking an underground house party as he is performing at an exclusive oceanic rooftop venue; as adept at composing an international club anthem like ‘Contact’ as he is at concocting a pop dance record that strikes to the Billboard Charts in America.  His single ‘Goodbye’ has been Certified Double Platinum and went Number 1 for 11 weeks in a row on the Canadian Billboard Chart, as well as going Number 1 in Russia’s Billboard Chart.  It wound up taking over Eastern Europe and became Number 1 in 7 Countries to date.

Morrison is a difficult DJ to pigeonhole and that’s what makes him such a fascinating talent. One minute his sound is ruthlessly minimal and funky; the next it’s washed in color and vocals and emotion.

Glenn has had an unusual career path. He started off as a classical pianist, a preteen prodigy, performing  – and winning – competitions. Then came a life-changing encounter with electronic music.

Production continues apace in the new mastering studio Morrison has built in Toronto, entitled Alpine Mastering (www.alpinemastering.com). Be it sound design for video game companies like Nintendo, EA Sports, Activision or Rockstar, or his own productions, he simply doesn’t stop making and playing music.  His latest partnership with IMAX has been a thrilling experience, pushing the boundaries of electronic music to that of sound-scoring live theatre visuals.  Glenn & IMAX unveiled this concept with a 3 part show series at the 2012 ComicCon event held at the Ruben H Fleet Science Centre in San Diego, and it was a huge success. “It’s been a liberating transition for me to make music for all different stylistic purposes, and I’m very grateful for having the ability to do what I love for a living” says Glenn.
