일본을 홈그라운드로 활동하는 그녀는 디제이뿐 만 아니라 밴드 뮤지션, 파티 오거나이저, 프로듀서로 다방면에 걸쳐 활동하고 있다. 종종 한국에서도 플레이하고 있으며, 3월에 서울에서 다시 한번 그녀의 라이브셋을 볼 수 있다.

어릴적부터 좋아하는것에 유난히 깊게 빠져들던 그녀는 초등학교 시절부터 카세트테이프를 사모으며 여러 장르의 음악들을 즐기다가, 2000년도 초반 클럽씬을 접하면서 자연스레 일렉트로닉 음악쪽으로 더 깊이 빠져들었다.

It's August, and we're ready to show you what we've got lined up for these hot summer days — Seasons of Groove by Jude Brown!

If you remember from last year, we released a stellar EP called Sunshine on the New Beginning by TshegoTMM & Vencer Café — two of South Africa's finest up-and-coming producers. That EP featured a remix by Jude Brown, which was a fantastic addition.

We're happy to have Jude back on board with his first original production for Cromarti Records. We believe he's certainly one to watch for his ability to create tasty grooves.

Jude is an artist of unique calibre within the South African deep house scene. His productions and DJ style tend to infuse elements of jazz, funk, garage, and disco. He's known for his versatility — from bouncy grooves to deep, sultry sounds. Whether he's working house floors or disco beach parties, his style always shines through.

To date, his productions have been released on some of the world’s leading labels, including Nervous Records, Salted Music, Papa Records, Sub-Urban, and Moiss Music. On top of that, he also founded his own label, Sandega Records, to create a space for like-minded artists.

To pair with Jude's original, we’ve brought in Jehan from France for remix duties. We’ve had our eye on Jehan for some time and were just waiting for the right track to ask him to collaborate with us. Jude’s track was perfect — and Jehan turned in a version that was exactly what we were expecting for a track titled "Seasons Of Groove".

In addition to his knack for creating deeper, tasteful sounds, Jehan has an exceptional ability to craft grooves with a classic flair — the kind you can’t help but nod your head to, and flare your nose like something funky’s cooking in the kitchen. We think you’ll know exactly what we mean when you hear his version.

You can check out more of Jehan's music released on some great labels, including Deeppa Records, Blur Records, Selville, HOT-Q, Honey Butter Records, and Star Creature Universal Vibrations.

We met Slowgiz in Itaewon and immediately ducked into a coffee shop to avoid the hot weather. … we talked about food, alcohol, her background, Billie Birkin, the Korean underground scene and Otaku.
