Some of our art is made on computers, some of it is made by hand. We are particularly interested in that gray area in between where you cant really tell. All of what we create here is one work laid out in segments, all connected. The Mystic Tape Deck universe is vast and explores all manner of adding meaning to our lives, while pondering meaninglessness.

Proficient performer of piano, bass guitar, 6 string , 12 string , drums, triangle, vocals, lyrics. 99% of the tracks on this page are original songs. None of my performances on any of my tracks, whether solo work, or collaboration, have any editing whatsoever. Effects and equalization? Of course! But no editing, no software, etc. Quite a substantial amount of these tracks are with The Eclectic Collective. We are like family and have been playing together on a daily basis since approximately March of 2022 as the Eclectic Collective. Before the band bore it's name Eclectic Collective; Josh, Ken, Stephen, Tez, and  CG Maness were doing some occasional collabs. At any given time we are all simultaneously working on about 15 different songs. And when we feel they are done cooking in the oven we release them.  We release a song every week on Fridays at 4AM UTC

Now I don't personally believe I'm in the same league as #Bowie, other than my lyrics, more often than not, making more sense, but I do think I share his ability to adapt to different genres, and his endless, diverse, creativity, just not quite on the same level.

I'm not proficient/accomplished on instruments, & I have other musical limitations, but most genres come natural to me, and I much prefer having that unforced ability to being highly accomplished on instruments, highly polished on production, or having the perfect voice!

Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access. For diversity and consistency, I am not hesitant in saying my Soundcloud pages house the most inventive creations on here. There are others making fabulous tunes, but no one is more prolific while maintaining a high standard of pole to pole invention, and that applies to the lyrics too. I won't escape obscurity and oblivion, but that proves nothing, the internet is way, way, WAY overcrowded with unsigned music, way too much mediocre stuff, which obscure anything exceptional out there; the wood hidden away behind lots and lots and LOTS of trees, and no one has the time to look for needles in haystacks, to find a diamond in the rough, it's just way too big a task, not humanely possible!

INVENTIVE, AUTHENTIC, DIVERSE MUSIC, INVENTIVE, AUTHENTIC, IMAGINATIVE LYRICS, but those are the last things the vast majority of listeners are looking for these days!

Composer, performer and producer, my influences are eclectic, among them: Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince, Aphex Twin, Beirut, RadioHead, Daft Punk, Vampire Week-End, Tony Allen, Joy Division, Kamixlo, Baby Metal, DJ Hell, Cypress Hill, AC/DC, The Raconteurs, SantiGold, Tom Morello, Mozart, J.S. Bach, The Kills, Fugazi, Helmet, Hendrix, Mad Season, QOTSA, Charlie Parker, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Cesaria Evora, Stromae... and so many others.

Raw sounds are what I like most, and I prefer focusing on the vibration produced by the interweaving of complementary melodies rather than adding spectacular effects.
I have been a guitarist and singer in several rock bands. Meeting the audience in concert with my friends was exhilarating, but I had long wanted to lead a personal project.
All composition ideas in this project came to me while walking, a discipline that I am passionate about. City, Forest, Mountain, everything that can be walked makes me want to put one foot in front of the other.
I am pleased to present this project that could be classified in the Electro-Pop category, although some metal, ambient, Jazz or Funk colors frequently come to it, with measure but enthusiasm. I leave you to judge the consistency of the whole and the category in which you would like to put it.
Welcome to my world of walking musician, hoping to discover some interesting landscapes along the way.

I will sing at some point but this is the next step. I'll focus on creating music for now.
