NX Records is a record label, radio station and interdisciplinary workspace housed in the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London.

The label was founded as a collaboration between Goldsmiths and Matthew Herbert's ever-experimental Accidental Records. In May 2013, we launched with an introductory mixtape and live performances at the Southbank Centre.

The label has continued to grow, releasing critically acclaimed music by Goldsmiths students and graduates, whilst hosting numerous workshops, events, and running a pop up record shop in New Cross.

NX has been managed by London artist, DJ and writer Richard Greenan, since 2018. In 2024, Accidental stepped aside from their NX duties, and Richard's own record label and NTS Radio show, Kit Records, began running NX in collaboration with Goldsmiths. 

The label's mission statement is to create a new model for the music industry, connecting exciting talent from the renowned creative hub of Goldsmiths – and the wider community of South East London – with the forward-thinking and collaborative Kit Records.

Our aim is to build connections between emerging artists, education, the industry and audiences. NX is a professional label that works alongside, not in opposition with, DIY artists.

Tom Will Morris is an eclectic singer-songwriter from Kent.

Tom is a storyteller, making sense of the world through his songwriting. His music explores themes of belonging, love, adversity and hope. 

In 2024 Tom was featured on BBC Kent Introducing, Callum French celebrated his “cinematic” sound and impressive vocal range and style. 

Tom’s music spans different genres, from folk and pop to alternative. Being a multi-instrumentalist and producer of his own work gives Tom the creative freedom to experiment with artistic concepts and sounds.

Greenstick trace their origins, like so many, to a rock & roll band. Alex, student extraordinaire, took up the drumsticks of his late father to complete the reunion of the legendary (well in South East London anyway) Grim Down South.

It was not long before Alex and Roger (poet, crime writer and bass player) cast aside their usual instruments to grab acoustic guitars and form a dynamic songwriting partnership. Lead singer Hayley later joined to add a strong vocal performance to the group.

Greenstick songs range from driving and energetic to whimsical and melodic, with memorable lyrics that can be heartfelt or tongue-in-cheek, and sweet harmonies bringing their voices together. 

Lewisburg are a band from North London born out of the solo project of singer-songwriter Ali Robertson. Described as dark-country the band craft mellifluous, nostalgic songs with occasional widescreen sensibilities.
