Biography:
Rick started organizing small, local parties at the age of 15 and played there his entire CD music collection. With 17, he started digging weekly in Zurich's record stores and quickly built up a collection. After many other smaller gigs, he created the party label MINIM with friends. They entered the legal and illegal party scene. Among other things, in the famous Dachkantine, where they invited artists such as Paul Kalkbrenner, Rob Acid (Robert Babicz), Gabriel Ananda, Tobi Neumann, Eli Verveine, Paul Brtschitsch, Matthias Tanzmann, Konrad Black, Tigerskin, Gallopende Zuversicht and many other artists. The party label dissolved after a few years and Rick found a new job that took him on the weekends, so the party life had to be cut back. He focused even more on music production and buying records. In 2014 he founded his own label Enara Records, which releases music digitally and on vinyl. Rick has released his own tracks and remixes on labels such as Telrae, [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], Crossfade Sounds, Superordinate Records, insectorama, D. Junction, Skylift Rec, and soon on ECOUL SND. He continues to DJ music from House to Techno and practically only vinyl.

FX-driven Jamaican soundsystems meeting the machines of techno with an abstract sound and loosely repetitive rhythms stucture, along with some usage of low end sonics - that's what dub techno is about. This music is a sonic experience far beyond the narrow pathways of techno, demonstrating that there is a universal code which connects repetitive patterns of organic sounds with club music. With a string of mind-altering atmospheres & warped basses and punchy beats to the fore, this mix is akin to an hallucinatory trip through the farthest reaches of psychedelic electronic music.

TM Shuffle is more than just a name in the international dub techno scene. The Finnish producer, DJ, and head of VUO Records has a rare talent for distilling the essence of depth, space, and rhythm into his productions. His music is infused with a hypnotic pulse that doesn’t shout loudly but tells stories subtly – of snow-covered landscapes, quiet nights, and an unwavering love for electronic music. What sets TM Shuffle apart is his uncompromising dedication to reduction. His musical philosophy is not about quantity but quality: less is more. By deliberately limiting himself, he becomes more creative – digging deep, searching intentionally for the right sound, and developing a distinct musical signature. This principle is evident not only in his productions but also in his thoughtfully crafted, driving DJ sets.

He shares this passion off stage as well: as the label head of VUO Records, he provides a platform for other artists who share his vision of dub techno – raw, organic, and timeless.

In a personal conversation with Andre Kronert, TM Shuffle offers insight into his creative workflow and studio philosophy. In a world of unlimited possibilities, he consciously relies on a minimalist setup: turntables, a mixer, a few select synthesizers, drum machines, and a computer for sequencing. Freedom 7, or Mercury-Redstone 3, was the first United States human spaceflight, on May 5, 1961, piloted by astronaut Alan Shepard. Three weeks earlier, op April 12 1961, Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin had made his historic single orbit around Earth. so Shephard was the second human to travel into space. Ten years later, in 1971, he became the fifth person to walk on the moon, at age 47, during the Apollo 14-mission.
