A song I recorded back in late 2018/early 2019. Deleted for whatever reason. The section of intense vocals toward the end of this song I've used in another song called "Losing It" which I may re-record in the future. So be on the lookout for that familiar ending. Enjoy.

Pour ce troisième titre de Noël du duo MCDC, j’ai voulu explorer encore une fois le genre latin. Cette pièce, un cubaton, se veut un hommage à mes amis cubains Rene Avich Wanton (Renesito), Javier FC Villa  et Lorenzo Sanchez avec qui j’ai appris pendant plus de dix années (en plus de mes élèves en musique) les bases de la musique cubaine. Marie-Christine Tremblay est au vocal comme d’habitude.  J’ai utilisé pour l’interpréter une ‘guitarra tres cubano’ (guitare à trois cordes doublés). François Moisan est à la basse. Les M’s : Marlène Claveau au sax alto, Michel Otis au sax ténor, André Lessard à la trompette et Martin Tremblay au trombone complètent les musiciens. Mixé et masterisé au Studio Septentrio de Jonquière par Martin Larose.  Bonne écoute!

For this third Christmas title by the MCDC duo, I wanted to explore the Latin genre once again. This piece, a cubaton, is intended as a tribute to my Cuban friends Rene Avich Wanton (Renesito), Javier FC Villa and Lorenzo Sanchez with whom I learned the basics of Cuban music for more than ten years (in addition to my music students). Marie-Christine Tremblay is singer as usual.  I used a 'guitarra tres cubano' (three string guitar with double strings) to play it. François Moisan is on bass. Les M’s: Marlène Claveau on alto sax, Michel Otis on tenor sax, André Lessard on trumpet and Martin Tremblay on trombone complete the line-up. Mixed and mastered at Studio Septentrio in Jonquière by Martin Larose.  Good listening!
