The sudden death of rock drummer Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) prompted me to write this song. While preparing for a live performance, life may abruptly end, symbolized by the lyrics “a snare without a rhythm”.
Arpeggiated flat5/major7 chords open the song, creating an uneasy feel as if something is about to happen. The unexpected song's ending symbolizes that “fate cut another ribbon”.

I recorded this demo and sent it to " Songtuner " in nashville. I thought it might have some value in the country market. The critique was brutal! Tore it up and spit it out!! Apparently it breaks all the " Songwriting rules " Ha Ha!!  Love it.

I still want to have it produced.. Bass... Drums.. backing..

Of course there's so many things i'd like to do different.. It's difficult for me to listen to my own songs..

Oh.. I think I figured out why its very hard to sit down and record these days.. The BRAND NEW INFLUENCES here on soundcloud have me processing a lot in my head.. Hearing all the great music and new musical personalities has me shifting a bit energetically.

I think the most important thing for an artist who creates original material is to listen to others.. The more listening.. the more influences. The more influences the more doors open creatively.

Palette Of Voices

Making music is a way to express myself and let me explore the endless world of options while enjoying the beauty of sound. Because I don't have a musical background, I have to learn all aspects of making music every time an idea for a new track comes up in my mind. For me, it feels like a challenge to find out how to learn more about music theory, harmonies, chord progressions, etc...and how this could be connected to each other to create a well sounding track.
