New York City-born, DJ, producer and label co-owner, Adrestia has had a hand in developing the rapidly expanding Brooklyn underground scene. With a focus on diversifying lineups by elevating artists of color in techno, in 2016 Adrestia co-founded her collective, ALKHEMY and their party, The Black Hole. She’s since earned the reputation for her unique and punchy sets heard on Boiler Room at Unter: Latin America, Basement and international stages like STAUB and the former Griessmühle in Berlin. Adrestia continues to grow as an artist with the success of her debut track release and premiere in 2020 and her recent VA release, all found on her electrifying label, Whirlwind Trax.

olesia is a Russian-born, London-based queer DJ. She fronts the decks via the dancefloor - cementing her place as a raver to the local scene. She divides her time as a graphic designer and co-founder of Technomate.* a collective putting beginners, FLINTA* and BIPOC artists first across its parties, podcast, editorial and educational platform.  
 
Her multi-sensory art is shaped by all things electronic. Translating the sounds of techno, acid, rave and breaks into the present with gleaming trance, electro and tongues-out club edits of forgotten gems. A scroll through her USB sees mostly harder, faster sides of four-to-the-floor armour spanning a wide arc. But always with space for B-side underdogs to plunge you into her expansive sonic planes.

As FOLD was building its reputation as a new 24 hour London club, behind the scenes a community was growing. A core crowd was emerging, being brought together weekend after weekend, building and solidifying close bonds on the dark sweaty dance floor. Lasha Jorjoliani aka Voicedrone and James Newmarch the venue’s co-creator and technical wiz respectively became the driving force for UNFOLD; a haven made for this fiercely loyal and diverse crowd.
 
UNFOLD places the DJ booth in the middle of the dancefloor, encouraging eye contact and immersion. Fuelled by fiery, energetic techno this format champions a connection and togetherness that at times feels closer to a ritualistic gathering than a rave. As daylight fades the frenzied crowd becomes one, hungry for the infamous b2b sets Voicedrone and James close with. Their high-energy styles compliment each other and produce a uniquely signature sound that is impossible not to move to. 

Surrounded by their community this lethal duo create a powerful and cathartic closing that is truly the spirit of UNFOLD.

Harder Podcast #065 - Non Reversible

Venezuelan born Berlin based, Hyperaktivist has been shaking the scene in and outside Berlin, with her characteristically energetic sets, unleashing a new wave of faster psychedelic-tinged trance, tribal techno and old school house pulsations, often with a cheeky nod to the 90’s rave era.
She started working for the development of club culture in her native Venezuela since an early age. There, she co-founded SOLO, the first club dedicated exclusively to electronic music in her hometown. After finishing a degree in mass media and journalism, she relocated in Berlin where she completed a diploma in sound engineering at the studios of the infamous Funk Haus.
In Berlin, she continues her work for the development of club culture as the architect of not one but two vital community-focused club nights.
Her first called Mess, Mindful Electronic Sonic Selections where she plays the role of organiser, resident and curato. Mess, it’s a forward thinking club night with a focus on women, queer and transgender artist from diverse cultural backgrounds, dedicated to the celebration of diversity
Mess supports DIY club culture by working out different collaborations with like minded collectives around the world. Mess happens at Ohm, the more experimental club from Tresor.
With Mess, Hyperaktivist has created a unique event in Berlin, attracting loads of attention for it’s contribution in pushing the conversation about diversity in the city’s musical landscape becoming an important platform for more underrepresented communities to show their force.
Her second project is named: Mala Junta. Hyperaktivist, co-founded this club night alongside Dj Tool. They both curate, organise and are residents of the party, and since 2019 they have welcomed D.dan as their third and newest resident. Mala Junta is considered one of Berlin’s
fiercest underground queer-techno parties, with a focus on inclusivity, Mala Junta approaches the faster, groovier edges of dance music with an open mind and a relentless spirit.
Hyperaktivist have directly influenced a shift in the scene, not only through introducing her hypnotising yet euphoric fresh sounds, but also by constantly advocating political values of equality & diversity at the forefront of her projects.
Since being selected as one of the Shape Platform for innovative music artists in 2016, she has been touring around the world. You can find her playing from Berlin’s most renown clubs to all across Europe, USA and South America, always bringing her characteristic energy and
commitment to the dance floors, merging genres with ease she takes influence both in her time spent in Berlin and South America.
