Premiere: LOIF - Stealth [ANIMA7]

In the distance you could see them looming - a line of them dotted sporadically in the middle of the open water. The waves crashed against the structure of each, it was a stormy day but the resilience of these great machines was fierce and could withstand even the most powerful of storms.

Each turbine was remarkable - a feat of engineering in truth. They sat perched on the outskirts of this small island keeping it whirring and energised day by day - there was no off mode. They'd simply spin and spin until the world ceased to exist and there was nothing left for them to spin for.

As the sunlight began to fade, their omnipresent shadow was all that could be seen against the backdrop of the ocean skyline...

Next up on Nummer Music is a release from Caldera - a tremendous EP which mutates between House, Techno, Bass and IDM in an intriguing, slippery fashion. A collection of tracks delicately poised for the club which also sound equally great in the headphones all alone.

After another long hiatus, BEAM is excited to present the vinyl debut from rising star and nebulous neurocranker, al dente. Over 4 tracks, ‘Running and Falling Over’ captures the stylistic fluidity we have come to know and love from Naarm/Melbourne. Ever present traces of Dozzy refract through millennium-bug tek haus, summoning atmospheres of deep yet ever playful psychedelia. Opening the A-side on ‘Ripple Effect’, pulsating drones and echoes of organic percussion slither through the undergrowth. ‘Soft Steps’ explores fractal resonance amid expansive, evolving textures. Flipping to the B-side, ‘Unfold’ melds paranoiac psy with a wiggly tek swagger. Slow-burner ‘Blue Trial’ closes out the EP – a proggy roller for the eternal sunrise.

With the perfect fusion of Animalia’s wide realm of styles and foundations, comes up & coming Australian producer al dente, with a  minimal, modern take on peak-time bangers. Clean cut and futuristic, with a hint of early 2000’s minimal influence,  the al dente sound represents a fresh new wave of club-rollers whilst encompassing Animalia’s signature deep sound. 

Animalia would like to acknowledge that all tracks were produced on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri peoples, and pay respect to their elders past, and present. Sovereignty was never ceded.

[HARMONY016]— Limping on Clouds is an EP born from an in-depth collaboration between @polygonia and @shoall. The A-side features one carefully curated track by each artist, while the B-side is a true symbiosis of their work, evolving from a single element or layer loop into a complete mix and arrangement that was gradually developed over time and distance.
 
Side A opens with Shoal's “Majola,” featuring layered breaks and a deep, slung bass, followed by Polygonia's “Repeat,” infused with kinetic energy, rhythmic elements, and euphonic vocal samples.

The synergistic B-side unfolds with a subtle, organic rhythm. “Pendulum” overflows with lush ambiance, creating an ethereal mood that pervades the record. The EP concludes on a downtempo note with the track “Limping on Clouds.”
