BLUSH_RESPONSE is the vehicle for Cuban/American musician Joey Blush's research into the sonic dimension. Reports occur at sporadic intervals, usually in concurrence with the discovery of new planes of existence. Born in Miami, and now stationed in Berlin, Blush has brought his sound experiments to a worldwide audience. He has toured around the world as a solo artist, and as a member of groups such as Scar the Martyr and Front Line Assembly. He is also a sound designer, having done work for companies such as Elektron, Yamaha, and Arturia, and programming on records from Fear Factory, Cristian Castro, and many more.

Blush expresses his sound through deep meditation with his electronic instruments, focusing on the interaction between human and machine. He seeks to both influence and harness the unpredictability of complex electronic instrumentation, in an effort to create an direct expression of his emotions. This sonic ritualism is exemplified in his prolific reporting of fractalized audio sculpture.

Blush owns the MEGASTRUCTURE_ label, a haven for sounds on the fringes of reality. You can find his releases on labels such as Schematic, Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, Ant-Zen, Sonic Groove, and his own MEGASTRUCTURE_.

At long last 2-DeltaDelta has made its return!! After the announcement of our brief hiatus we immediately got to work on ways we could elevate this label and I think it’s fair to say we have made some achievements. 

Courtesy of some excellent graphic design work we now have a new logo and new designs all over our Soundcloud. On top of this we now have uploads on YouTube and we have plans to upload EP’s and other projects to Bandcamp.

Additionally, we have some really exciting names already involved in our schedule in the next few months and we are so eager to constantly add to that growing list.

In the mean time please enjoy our first tune back, 'Happy Valley'. This track boasts heavy influences from the electro scene and also pays homage to The Prodigy's 'Out of Space'. 

It is fair to say that DRB Selects has revived this label with this deep dark 2-Stepper. We certainly enjoyed hearing it for the first time and we hope you do too!!

Lastly, It goes without saying that submissions for mixes and tunes to our label are now active again.

"Harrrp crawls to Nurse with the Ghouls EP, featuring two cuts of laser-focused broken bass dead set on moving all the creatures on the dancefloor. Formerly known as Scarlit Port, Ali Najafi has initiated a new chapter in his creative journey with Harrrp, pursuing a sleeker, more pliable, and ultimately funkier sound. “Ghouls” opens with Harrrp’s ghastly pitch-shifted vocals paired with a buoyant electro beat. As the track progresses, it veers into deconstructed club territory - rhythms splinter and Harrrp’s voice becomes submerged in static, sanity fraying like the crazed dancers. The hyperpop-inflected Accela Mix of “Ghouls” bumps up the tempo and swaps the ominous synths for rave-inflected stabs. But make no mistake - this is still resolutely future-forward funk. Artwork for this EP was designed by Olga Federova, who has also produced a video for “Ghouls”. Najafi continues to cultivate Nurse’s eclectic and genre-defying vision with Harrrp’s Ghouls."
