Premiere: Intellagama - Stretch Bollard [HbF-9]

@hasvat-informant returns to Amniote Editions under his Intellagama alias with the Reciprocate EP. The HbF capsule sees the Naarm (Melbourne) based producer implant a fusion of sonic explorations; tender wandering synths, washes of twitching percussion, layered aerial textures and pulsing rhythms merge together to full visceral effect.

Heliobolus (@spekkiwebu) and @eastern-distributor feature on the remix tip to dizzying effect, with delicate cuts that build into deep, palpitating odysseys.

The HbF capsule will be unleashed in full force on the 23rd Feb alongside a run of limited edition caps with spiral embroidery designed by Copenhagen based design studio Alexis Mark. The caps will be available for purchase via Proton Records, more info to follow.

"For our second release, circuit|breaker quips back the stacked offering of CBRK001 with another dynamic double LP, exhibiting some of the best local and international talent that’s cropped up on our radar over recent years.

The label is as driven as ever to build a bridge between our community and the wider electronic music domain, giving artists a platform to preach the sound that speaks to them, and this release is but another stepping stone towards greatness, for us and for them.

CBRK002 opens up with a rolling, gritty number that could only be Fergus Sweetland, as metallic voices beckon forth on ‘Untitled (ARP 1.02)’. Hasvat Informant, whose thunderous reputation precedes him, then storms the barn with the explosive ‘Abispa Ephippium’. The B-side shifts gears to Goa’s Dotdat and his frantically groovy track ‘Holo’, followed by a gorgeous minimal number by Berlin-based Pino Peña – Mia’s Pocket; one that’s sure to get summer dancefloors pumping.

The C-side of the record contains two heaving tracks, the C1 from the prominent force of Cloudy Ku with ‘A Room of One’s Own’, and the C2 from the dark visage that is disgrays with ‘Turmstraße’. The final side of the record has Amsterdam legend Juan Sanchez open the filter with a warm, jacking submission in ‘Indulge’, while the Berliner Marsch takes us home with a devious timbre that will have bodies glued to the floor on ‘Into You."

Stepping outside his usual sphere, Blue Hour delves into dub-infused atmospheres with his latest EP, ‘Duality’. The EP kicks off with 'Trekia', a chord-driven techno track evolving slowly with blissful pads and a dreamy melody. 'Orisus' follows a similar palette, adding more funk to the drums and introducing drama with an unexpected string variation. On the B-side, 'Atoll' delivers a more rolling, percussive groove, with subtle riffs breaking through the repetition. The final track, 'Triton', takes a deeper, moodier turn, featuring melancholic bell like tones and a wandering arpeggio. Followers of Blue Hour will find echoes of his earlier work here, but ‘Duality’ brings a breath of fresh air and sense of refinement, making it the perfect home on Arsenik Records.
