In this episode, HC4US hosts Dr. Jerome Hoffman where he discusses his experience in our broken healthcare system and his fight for healthcare justice.

Dr. Jerome Hoffman has a prolific career in medicine as an emergency physician, professor, toxicologist, researcher and lecturer.  He is the recipient of numerous awards and has been the keynote speaker for meetings on five continents.  Currently active in the Santa Barbara chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program, Dr. Hoffman is also the California Coordinator of Students for a National Health Program.

In the episode, your host is Taiji Miyagawa (API for CalCare; http://APIforCalCare.com).  Taiji’s guest is Joaquin Beltran, founder of Action Care Equity Coalition (ACE Coalition; http://ActionCareEquity.org).  In 2023 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Joaquin led a campaign to resume mask requirements in healthcare facilities.  He also led a grassroots effort to assemble and distribute DIY Air Filters (Corsi Rosenthal Boxes) to evacuees and high risk groups affected by smoke from the Eaton Canyon fire.
