A new volume of our most successful compilations, is already here: Kitties Wanna Dance 7. Some of our best tracks were released on previous volumes and some of the regular artists of Suara have debuted in these series. When Pig&Dan decided to join forces, they began a truly prolific production schedule establishing their reputation as producers of pulsating electronic music that straddled dark house and high-energy techno, whilst creating their signature style of twisted and experimental breakdowns. Since those early days, they have created a repertoire that not many can match and have constantly been releasing their music on the most respected labels and playing at the best events worldwide.

Pig&Dan follow up to their outstanding first EP on Drumcode with ‘Chemistry’. Compromising of three tracks the mood fluctuates with each record to create a well-balanced, dynamic EP. Chemistry is a dreamy listening platform that mixes cyclic synth lines and stabs to crescendo into a late night imagination. The other two tracks are on the harder tip with their thunderous kick drums and disorientated sounds that provide a different edge to the EP with a harder, peak time sound.

Here is another Londoner to keep an eye on! @matt-masters' newest release "Riding High" is an exemple of how deep house can be nicely crafted. It is an extract from is LP called "Never Ending Nights" soon to be available on @jimpster's label @freerangerecords

Starting with some nice drums and a smooth bassline, the track evolve into a cosmic shamanic deep house. It also has a nice subtle jazzy touch, that's really enjoyable.

Anybody who's been to a Ferias can attest to the genuine ecstatic energy on the tiny dancefloor at Barbossa. While we hope the music plays its part, we know that our crew of friends who show up each and every party are the real reason for such warm and fruitful nights. It's a tough thought to consider how many of these moments have been lost over the last couple of months. In an effort to bring similar gusto to your ears, we're starting a new segment of our mix series called Ladies Night - tunes selected by the gals who keep Ferias groovin', month after month.

Aarushi, Coline, Louise, and Alina are the core of the dancefloor, and just as responsible for Ferias' flair as those behind the decks. We owe a lot of these divas, who have an uncanny ability to warm our hearts and minds. They've each chosen a few of their favorite goodies, culminating in a mix bursting at the seams. Vaminos!

Ferias is surrounded by music-heads. We work in the industry, (used to) go dancing too often, spend Sunday mornings in record stores, and fill our messaging threads with the latest jams. Our extended circle shares the same incessant need for musical consumption as we do - It’s rare you’ll find silence around the Ferias duo, for better or worse.

We want to use the platform to display the musical genius of our crew, both on and off the decks, and are ecstatic to present the Ferias mix series in an effort to do just that. Expect new music every couple of weeks, from those who are directly responsible for giving Ferias its distinct sonic flavor.

3 years have past since the release of the Fortunea Cookies Vol. 2 ep. Now, the Viennese label is resurrecting their various artists collection with a third entry.
 
The A-side begins with a smooth deep house piece by LeSale. Dreamy strings and sparkling pads chime together with a thriving funky bassline. A beautiful opener for estival sunset moments.
 
Peletronic and Klaus Benedek team up together on A2 with some ‚Analogue Kinda Funk‘. Finished during the lockdown while sending the project back and forth over the web, this track gives you an eerie and compelling feeling of the Zeitgeist we are living in right now. Dark reverberant percs, a crunchy guitar and a stunning drum beat will turn your flat into a club for sure.
 
The B-side features a new member on the fortunea roster. Dzc. is a young and talented dj and producer and this is her first production that is coming out. It’s called ‚The Truth‘ and is a well made peaktime track and a homage of early to late 90s house, techno and trance music.
 
Lukas Poellauer finishes this record. But not alone! He brought Schreder with him and together they make a ‚Midnight Ride‘ through a melancholic, acid-fulfilled desert.

Our next release, the ‘Exposures EP’ by Teleseen, fits perfectly into this aesthetic. Teleseen is the main project of nomadic DJ, producer and multi- instrumentalist Gabriel Cyr and draws influence from deep house, afro house, samba, batucada as well as the experimentalism and sound system cultures of his home town NYC. His sound leans heavily on polyrhythmic programming and he’s nothing short of a synth wizard. His ‘Exposures EP’ features 3 originals, and a remix by Berlin based Italian house guru Black Loops.

[GENTS132] Dave Scott - Three From Me EP

As the dancefloor continues to be out of bounds you can rely on Freerange
to bring you house music which runs that little bit deeper and more
soulful, lifting spirits during the darker times.  Following hot on the
heels of Laroye’s Be The Change, the label offer another heartwarming
release, this time from Brooklyn-based artist Greg Paulus.  Perhaps better
known as one half of No Regular Play, Greg has appeared on labels as
diverse as Soul Clap, Let’s Play House, Ghostly International and Kompakt.
For the City Movements EP Greg has delivered three brilliant originals
which showcase his talents as a trumpet player, vocalist and producer.
Opener Breezy Point comes correct with Greg’s vocals coming to the fore
backed by a crunchy house groove, a solid, analogue bassline and simmering
Moog synths.
Flipping over we have Do You Love Me? which takes a jazzier approach with
Greg’s filtering trumpet arrangements adding a warm, organic depth to the
track whilst the Prince-inspired house groove keeps the funk factor
running high.
Closing out the release we have Mr. Lee’s Trophy Theme which reimagines a
certain film director arriving to collect his latest award. There’s plenty
of attitude, a hint of sleaze and a dash of humour but above all else we
have bags of soul emanating from within the layers of warm pads, Wurli
chords, trumpet lines and hooky vocal.
