A Berlin techno underground sound.

This track, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, was inspired by my recent summer in Berlin observing and enjoying the techno scene. The track is influenced by my experiences there, and also reflects what I wanted, but felt was lacking. The beat pushes the pace, with level changes and sounds to stimulate and energize, whilst creating an industrial feel and encompassing atmosphere. It is track one of twelve singles in the Light album.

Movement: In this Ep the artist wanted to show how does he knows as movement that for him is like a coin that has two different faces, one of the faces has the track Motion, a really dark techno track that has lots of percusive sounds, on the other face we have  Jumping, a track that sounds more like minimal made it with lot of hypnotics melodies.
Motion: A techno track loaded with lot of percusive sounds with lots of variations who create different stages on the track, added to this we found some melodies made it with the fusion of the classics of Roland Juno 106 and D-50 that in the way they are panned creates this unique dark atmosphere.
Jumping: A techno track that has more like a minimal sound, in this track doesn´t matter having lots of percusive sounds and changes on they but what it really matters are the melodic sounds, in the beginning we felt the way that this track will take, with the modular sounds that shows what it is really all about, this sounds kept playing all over the track whitout interrumption added to them we have an arpeggio and a synth line made it with the classic sound of the Roland SH-2, the fusion of this melodic sounds are the things that give the name of the track.

BACKGROUND Hegstraction grew up in the 80s & 90s heavily influenced by the emergent electronic music in Amiga, Nintendo & PlayStation video games & the movie soundtracks by electronic music pioneers Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis & Kraftwerk. Recent influences from German techno DJ/producers Felix Krocher & Stephan Bodzin.

INSPIRATION His inspiration differs from most artists as it comes from the dance floor where he is most at home. From over 20 years experiencing DJ sets worldwide throughout Europe, Asia, South & North America, his ideas have been shaped.

METHODOLOGY He approaches each track as a mini set, building up slowly, using level changes, sounds that stimulate & energize, following Skeletalism (using closely related sounds) & Massification (layering sounds over time) methods.
