Recently @temporal_drift announced that they'll be repressing his album Surround, originally made for pre-fab housing developer Misawa to give away to customers who bought their homes. 🏡 I thought it would be fun to go through some of his music ahead of the release on my radio show.

Known as an early pioneer of environmental music, many of Yoshimura's albums were designed to be played inside urbanized spaces like museums and fashion runways. His music was meant to enhance the spaces surrounding the listener.

Yoshimura's approach to ambient music is tranquil and minimal, bringing bliss to listeners who are more often than not disconnected from nature in an increasingly urban setting. 🌿🌳🐝" - @atrevid000

Happy Holidays. Welcome back to another Transmission broadcasting from the HER 他 Transmission Mix Series, our mix series showcasing amazing artists from around the world. For the 128th edition, we bring you a mix from Female Wizard (Alexander Powers)

Using the moniker Female Wizard, Alexander Powers has vitalised Naarm/Melbourne’s dance music community for almost a decade, spearheading a new wave of queer DJing and playing acclaimed festivals and events such as Bolier Room, Golden Plains, Dark Mofo, Soft Centre and Hybrid. Her galvanizing sets, known for creating collective transcendence through powerful sonic immersion, have featured on globally renowned music broadcasting platforms NTS and Rinse FM, and in her six-year residency at local cult underground queer night Le Fag. In 2021, she was awarded Best Electronic Act at the Music Victoria Awards. Her latest album, What A Body Can Do, is released under her own label, Powertrip https://soundcloud.com/powertripclub , and takes her experimental approach into the realm of four to the floor club music. Powertrip also runs as a party and mix series in Naarm, having featured local and international club talent who are pushing the boundaries of their genres.

Este mix es una puerta a ese limbo, en el que ya no eres consciente de que es real o no, causado por el constante insomnio y el uso de medicamentos. Tu cuerpo se tensa, empiezas a alucinar, parálisis del sueño. Al principio tienes miedo pero acabas recuperando el control, encontrando una cierta comodidad en ese malestar. Estos tracks representan esa sensación, una conversación con tu parte mas oscura, tu sombra. Es esta liberación de lo mundano, este escape de los confines de la “realidad”
