One of the moodiest tracks I've done in a while. I've been on the cyberpunk tip for a while now (and as I keep alluding to, this will become even more clear soon) and if you wanted to know what my vision of a Blade Runner 2049 score would be, then this is a pretty good indicator.

Christoph Berg, Humble Bee, Tape Loop Orchestra, Olan Mill, Clem Leek, Antonymes, Ben Chatwin, Aaron Martin, P Jørgensen, Marconi Union, Bill Seaman, Hummingbird and Ian Hawgood.

Physical format will include: A deluxe double edition with a 6 panel blind debosssed outer on heavyweight GF Smith stock, 24 page perfect bound  photographic book along with vintage ordnance survey maps of the Lake District.

The new album is a reference to the photography technique that creates  a degraded appearance in photo prints by physically altering film, a close metaphor for the way the album was created; manipulation of source audio and sound design creating a very different result.

One of my usual software based "compositions" consisting of a couple of VSTi and VST effects, mainly Adaptiverb and MGranularMB but also featuring Pro-R and Timeless, as always, of course.

DAW used was Studio One 3.5 installed on my recently acquired Surface Pro laptop. I wanted to see what this little thing could do and I have to say that I am impressed. In order to keep CPU usage down to a minimum the VSTi instances were rendered once I was happy with a particular track and then a new VSTi would be inserted. Sounds a pain but this method suits my way of working for this kind of stuff which is more effects centred.

Nothing special, but I wanted to share :-)
