Consciousness, Chit and Chitta. 
It is important to be clear about ‘chit’ and ‘chitta’, which are quite different.

CHIT is the Chetan power—a property of the Atman—which illuminates everything and makes everything go—without which everything would come to a standstill, despite there being matter and energy. 

CHITTA is merely a part of the mind. 

CHIT is like the sun, the real source of light and CHITTA is only like a mirror,
which only reflects it, and from which the body, the mind, changing under the influence of sensations arising in our consciousness. 

This changeability of the CHITTA is due to its false sense of ownership over or association with the sensations in question. This is the stray state of the CHITTA.

But pure consciousness of the Atman, is altogether different. 
It never changes. 
Pure Atman does not feel any “I’ness” with what the physical senses perceive around them. 
Pure consciousness of the Atman is also such. 
Also, the Atman and the consciousness of the Atman always go together, being more or less identical.

Therefore it is said to be the embodiment of all enlightenment, truth, power and joy. 
As such, it is always completely steady, unchanging, flawless and free.

CHITTA when purified and stilled as a reflection of pure consciousness of the Atman, behaves in such a way that all its behaviours, feelings thoughts, etc, are at once well settled, organised and deep—so that they are invariably convincing, beautiful and beneficial. 
The best way to attain this condition is to give up desires and intentions and to adopt pure and natural ways.

Radical ethnic electronic music journey. It combines electronic and organic sounds, tribal songs, and traditional ethnic instruments from around the world.

The inspiration of this set came from James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon". The book is set in a fictional Himalayan utopia called Shangri-La, which is portrayed as a mystical and exotic paradise that embodies many Western fantasies and stereotypes about the East.

Overall, "Lost Horizon" can be seen as an example of how Orientalist discourse has shaped Western perceptions of the East, perpetuating romanticized and idealized images of an exotic and mystical Orient that is fundamentally different from and superior to the West.

This new Kosmozoo set was live performed from my Studio in Brussels on ShoutingFire.com for the Kosmo Downtempo Live Nb.86 on the 26/02/2023 (10 Am Pacific Time - 19h Europe).

About Andre -
The russian dj and producer exposes a delicious sound journey of deeply rolling & flowing downtempo beats. Get excited for a trip through dope valleys, hypnotic canions and sweet peaks – always accompanied by pure coolness. What a spectacular ride!

Grown up in Saint Petersburg, Andre spend years of travelling and experiencing the world from different perspectives, exploring both eastern and western cultures. He has travelled through middle eastern countries, South-East-Asia, Russia, Europe, Indonesia and India. He participated meditations in Nepal and has been djing in Goa, Japan and Bali. All of his colorful travels made a huge impact on his musical concept which turned his sound into a multi-faceted script full of deep, hypnotic and damn sexy vibes.
Coming back to his native city Saint Petersburg, which always was a cradle for rock and electronic music streams in Russia, he met his old fellow Droomie who has been a bass guitar player in several local rock bands. Together they decided to start a new project where they can realise new musical conceptions of producing and playing live sets joined by bass guitar
