2025 is in full swing and what better way to start off the year than with another Hot Series? As Hotbox is all about family, we thought it would be the perfect fit to invite our long time friend Moex to the series. Having moved from Rotterdam to Lisbon and to Amsterdam, Moex has had his fair share of reputable record stores to dig from, building up a diverse, yet coherent musical library. Strap yourselves in for a bit more than an hour’s worth of head nodding. A great selection of tracks, favorites and new digs, different genres, and a lovely groove.

HOT SERIES 030 - Moex

Our Hot Series rolls on, and this time, we’re welcoming DJ Shoplifter into the mix. A Brussels-based selector with an ear for the unexpected, DJ Shoplifter brings a unique blend of curiosity, rhythm, and contemplation to the floor. Having been at it for about two years, her selections are a reflection of a restless mind—constantly absorbing influences from everyday life. This, together with a love for the UK scene shapes her musical DNA to a sound that’s both dynamic and delightfully offbeat.

For her mix, DJ Shoplifter crafts a bridge between club season and festival season, blending deeper breaky cuts with bright, oddball club energy. An hour of leftfield grooves and unexpected shifts culminating in a journey of twists and turns, mirroring her playful yet calculated approach—where every track satisfies a need for stimulation and surprise. With a big year ahead, DJ Shoplifter is gearing up for some heavy hitters—opening for DJ Fart In the Club in Hasselt and a slot at Horst Festival with Kiosk Radio. HOT SERIES 031 - Dj Shoplifter

The Hot Series continues with one of our dear friends. Please welcome @lucimille into the Hotbox. Born in Charleroi and later based in Brussels, Lucien’s story is one of slow, deliberate immersion. From sneaking peeks with Ezekiel and curating sets alongside kindred spirits, to digging into record bins across Brussels—every chapter adds weight to his selections. 

His Hotbox mix was recorded in a familiar setting: it’s 2023, a summer gathering at Cadzand, nestled between friends and golden light. Sandwiched between Bass Toast b2b Toolate Groove and Alfred Anders, Lucien took the floor at 6:30 PM—with only an hour on the clock. These are tracks shaped by memory and mood, rooted in House but layered with electro, funk, and a keen emotional resonance. "If I had to play it today, maybe I’d tweak a few things," he says. "But the feeling? Still very real." This mix is more than a snapshot. It’s a time capsule. A warm breeze from a summer past, sealed up for whenever you need to remember what dancing outside with friends really feels like.

HOT SERIES 032 - Lucimille

For our next Hot Series, we’re handing things over to @ilias-vh—Antwerp-based, vinyl-curious, and always dancing just in front of the booth. From furniture to floorplans to floor-fillers, Ilias is a designer in every sense; crafting moments, building spaces, and translating mood into sound. His approach is deeply personal, setting the drift between gritty minimal, dusty 90s house, and hypnotic techno, all stitched together by atmosphere and emotional depth. 

This mix captures a special full-circle moment. While interning as an interior designer at Traum, Ilias helped shape the club’s balcony room—transforming it into a snug and intimate second floor. Months later, he stepped into that very same space behind the decks, playing the closing set right after his close friend and mentor Romy. The result: a raw, elegant ride through four months of digging—trancy textures, minimal pressure, groovy moments—and a heavy lean into the vinyl he’s been collecting. 

His next stop? Opening Klub Dramatik’s Turbine Stage b2b with Jacuzzi. But as always, you'll find him where the energy is best, spinning records, or dancing just off-center with a grin.

The silence is broken and the Hotbox returns once more, welcoming Riet (@riet_cs), a Brussels-born DJ now refining her craft in Berlin. Through this journey, Riet has found her greatest inspiration not in records alone but in people: the dancers in front of her, the friends sharing a booth…that dialogue continues in her selections: long, floating melodies answering back to short, peculiar beats, balancing deep, melodic textures with flashes of playful minimal. From backroom basements to open-air daydreams, her sound is always about creating place as much as it is about rhythm.

This mix is Riet at her most distilled, turning to the tracks she had prepared for a rainy Renate Garten that never came to be. A patient arc that ebbs and swells, it’s transportive yet physical, the kind of set you experience with your eyes half-closed and your feet still moving, capturing the longing of a summer moment lost but not forgotten. Hope you're safe and sound in those hard times of confinement but hey life goes on so here's a new radioshow to entertain you or kill your time. 
First hour by LYO (only new or upcoming releases) / second hour by Cable Toy, straight from St-Petersburg. If you don't know him yet, check his 12" he released last year on Low Budget Family feat. Lipelis, it's pure fire. He also made really cool remixes of Wolfram (on Public Possession) and Psychemagik lately. Nuff' said, let's the music talk !

For the 10th edition of our FUSE series we bring you an exclusive DJ set from CPSmith, founder of Central Processing Unit, one of the most respected and prolific record labels in the world of Electronic Music.

Central Processing Unit, commonly referred to as CPU Records, is an independent British record label, founded in Sheffield in 2012, specialising in various forms of Electronic Music. CPSmith (Chris Smith) is the man responsible for it’s existence. A respected player in the Sheffield scene since the early days of Warp Records, Chris, heavily influenced by the Electro, Techno, early House and Bleep sounds from this era, has notoriously carried forward the legacy of a city that deserves huge credit for it’s contribution to the UK scene, and thus the country's reputation as being one of the pivotal hubs of the World.

We were honoured to collaborate with Chris and CPU for an unforgettable event at FOLD in November 2019. Chris formed part of one of our biggest ever lineups which featured The Advent and E.R.P. aka Convextion, along with front-line CPU and Natural Selection artists, including Plant43, 96 Back, Annie Hall, Kodah and Osc Kins.

Chris’ mix could be described as a history lesson in quality electronic music, but streaked with modern, advanced productions from his label and closely relevant artists.
