PixelFilter cuts through the noise with a sound born from distortion, discipline, and pure energy. A former metal guitarist turned audio engineer/programmer, his path into electronic sound was never straight — it was forged through years of crafting, breaking, and reshaping sonic textures. 

Two distinct forces drive his music. One side dives into the raw, hypnotic energy of underground Techno — shaped by late-night dancefloors, industrial textures, and stripped-back rhythms. The other taps into his cultural roots, channeling the vibrant spirit of South Asia through infectious, groove-driven Indo House. Separate sounds. Same pulse. 

Beyond the decks, PixelFilter helps curate Hyperbolic Chamber, a platform dedicated to championing raw, genre-bending sounds and rising underground artists.

Originally born and raised in Montreal, Mattemüs started his mixing career alongside his best friend under a duo named Filthy Kids. Shortly after, he moved to Vancouver in 2021 and since then he has immersed himself in Vancouver’s underground music scene. He has managed to play at many venues around the city and he holds residency at Soma Music Hub. He brings a lot of diversity to the decks ranging from progressive, deep house, techno & minimal. Mattemüs showcases his skills on the decks by reading the room and building up the energy level. He takes pride in the tracks he chooses, ensuring that the selections are always working together. His musical blend of melodic synths and groovy low ends will take you on a journey all night long.
