A track for yet another song challenge. For this one, only three tracks were allowed in total! So I teamed up with WitchKing99 and heartbloodmusic. We made three songs, each contributing a track to each one. This was done in the following order:

This month's song challenge, issued by Hugo Moroux and Ben Levin, was to make a song titled You are Now Logged In, with that title as the theme. My mind immediate went to the sound the original Playstation makes when you turned it on, so I used that for a bit of inspiration behind my song. For the lyrics, I just wrote some words that I felt fit the atmosphere.

A song challenge track with the prompt simply being the title "You Are Now Logged In". Somewhere along the way, that turned into "Thank You for Logging In" in my head, lol. For me it conjured up an image of a hacker trying to get access to a server(or The Matrix itself) and getting more than they bargained for!

Musically, this turned out to be a disco track with quite a few time signature changes behind the scenes. Still pretty danceable, methinks!

A little song about being outcasted and that experience leading to you finding your people. Sometimes it takes a cleansing fire to finally be able to start anew 🔥

This song experiments with the "Rose, Thorn, Bud" approach to reflection (both lyrically and conceptually). It represents 2022 and my belief in the cyclical nature of time.

Overall, this year ruled, so I wanted the song to feel joyful. My life changed so radically that at times it felt like slipping into a dreamworld or sliding between alternate timelines of reality, so I chose a mix of synths that felt dreamy and jarring. There's a lot of panning, as there was lots of change in my year.

Lyrically, this song is about the courage to remain open, even at great personal cost. It's about how you can be rewarded for courage in unimaginable ways. The Rose, Bud, and Thorn are all one and the same here - yes, there was challenge, and it led to majesty, and it all happened by trusting that the future would hold wonderful things; and all those feelings coexist at times.
