Seven months have slipped by. No sleep‑scribbled letters, no words from the Council. After releasing Vol. 1, I thought I’d feel relief, even freedom to make new stuff—but all I felt was a ghostly insistence—as if there were a chore I had to complete first, something I’d forgotten about. I began treating that absence as a puzzle. What was it trying to show me? I pride myself on keeping things tidy—yet like any producer, I keep a graveyard of musical ideas. While poking around my hard drive, I stumbled on a couple of tracks set aside during the making of A Spectral Turn. Could that be it? Maybe they were just waiting for their moment.

So, for Volume 2, I’ve gathered those pieces—some sketched in studio sessions three years ago, others composed for my live‑sets that followed the album release.

The Melbourne based producer starts off quirky, fast-paced and slightly acidic, skillfully swerving into the laid-back leftfield of mid-to-late 90s UK IDM. At either tempi, The New Adaptive Lacerta is a truly sublime and modern classic EP.
