Either when holding the bar for over a decade at Soundwall - one of the reference webzines for the Italian electronic music landscape, working as artistic director for the Roman party RNY or during his two-decade long digging journey, Matteo Cavicchia's life has always been guided by music and the desire to explore and absorb as many artistic stimuli as possible.
Basically Ugly Covers was born in 2023 as an ode to the bad taste for record covers' artworks from back in the day, the surface under which some of the most underrated and funniest gems of (not only) dance music are uncovered.

«I don’t really love to focus on a specific genre when I record my mixtapes. I prefer letting the different elements of the tracks I love take control of my flow and create an organic musical journey.
Hot from the press: you can get some vocals, basslines and melodies that have been inspiring me and shaking me the most lately. Much of that influence comes from Pizza Club, a brand-new radioshow alongside old-time partner Kapsalon. Enjoy!»

Lemi Shoya is a DJ and producer originally from Lecce, southern Italy. For several years, he has been cultivating a musical journey deeply connected to the underground sounds of Detroit and Chicago, genres that embody the essence of true club culture. His sets offer a refined blend, always focused on quality music and aimed at creating a genuine connection with the dancefloor.
In 2024, he launched Humanite, a project born from the desire to build a bridge between local roots and the global club scene. Each month, Humanite hosts international artists, curating intimate and engaging nights followed by a loyal and passionate community.
He has had the privilege of sharing the booth with some of the artists who have shaped his musical vision, including Ge-ology, Steven Julien, Ruby Savage, Mendel, Patrick Gibin, San Proper, Julion De'Angelo, Lakuti, Tama Sumo, Volcov, and others.

«My mix is made of some tracks I've enjoyed the most recently, along with others that I always carry with me, the ones that are never missing from my bag. I rely a lot on instinct, and by picturing myself in a club, I tried to create a mix that reflects the mood of my usual sets, ranging from Detroit and Chicago sounds to soulful vibes.»

Pierka is an outstanding host in the Genoese scene, a true flagbearer of Lanterna’s club culture in Italy and beyond. For over ten years, he has been lighting up the city’s nights with the OVERSIZE party, known for its unmistakable sound, ranging from old-school house to disco and world music, all the way to darker tones for the most intense dancefloors.

««I’ve selected some of the records I came across along this year’s journey, from vinyl found in festival markets, to those discovered in Europe’s most unique record stores, and even records exchanged with fellow adventurers in the booth. The result is a vibrant crescendo that blends deep house, house, disco, world music and soulful sounds.
I often experience my sets, and especially my podcasts, as stories that start from a point and unfold into a kind of narrative, reaching their own epilogue. I hope this set for Tiella Sound can also accompany each of you along your own path.»

Giuseppe Fava is an Italian DJ and producer whose sound weaves warmth, rhythm and atmosphere. His sets are a continuous exploration of contrast and emotion: from soulful vocals, vibrant percussion and dry, rolling house grooves, to structured psychedelic layers and hypnotic acid lines.
Since 2014, he has been crafting his own productions and collaborating at The Dub studio, co-founded by the late, legendary Claudio Coccoluto.
Resident DJ of Soul Express Collective, over the years, he has released his music on respected labels such as The Dub, Italo Deviance and Muja.

«This set is a personal journey, a sonic exploration that reflects the musical influences that have shaped me over time. Each record, carefully selected, forms part of a mosaic that tells my story through the sounds and rhythms that define me as an artist.
I aimed to create an immersive experience where vinyl takes the lead, with its emotional warmth and texture giving life to an organic atmosphere rich in nuance.
Between moments of introspection and bursts of energy, the set unfolds as a continuous flow, a wordless narrative inviting listeners into a unique sensory experience. Every track, with its own groove, reveals a fragment of my story, connecting past and present in a timeless dialogue.»

Long-time friends and DJs, Roberto and Riccardo, decided to share their passion for music, creating an explosive duo that fuses sounds from all over the World. 
Their journey goes through different shades of music, always creating warm and romantic vibes. Since 2025, they have been residents of the famous Anna Molly party from Milan.

Tiella Sound Mix 098: Love Connection

Tiella Sound is the reflection of Luca Bigote’s "fluid" music vision, where genres blend and boundaries fade away. Launched in 2019, the project encompasses a radio show, mix series and independent record label.

Luca Bigote is an Italian DJ and music curator with wide tastes across the music spectrum.
His sets are immersive journeys blending rarefied Soft Electronica, floating Downtempo beats, warm Organic Grooves and a rich array of House and Techno nuances. This versatile approach has led him to share  stages with influential artists such as Tornado Wallace, Fantastic Man, Tiger & Woods, Rahaan, and Patrice Scott among others. Remarkably, he delivered a highly acclaimed six-hour set at Buttons party in Berlin, one of the most iconic events within  the city’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene.
Over the years, he has been invited to contribute to many radios and podcast channels from all over the world, including United We Stream (DE), HÖR (DE), Kiosk Radio (BE), Radio Raheem (IT), Rocket Radio (IT), Radio Panini (DK), Rhythmic Culture (NL), Amok Radio (MK) to name a few.
Since 2020, he has also been crafting ambient introspective soundscapes under his experimental alias, Nostalgia Del Futuro, expression of his interest for non-club oriented music.
In the past, he curated the ‘ritmo’ nights at Klunkerkranich in Berlin, hosted ‘FMUD’ summer parties in his hometown Gaeta (IT), and collaborated with renowned record stores such as OYE Records and Sound Metaphors.
