This "Chaconne Paysanne" from "Dance Suite no.2", draws inspiration from the traditional chaconne form while incorporating elements evocative of rural life. Cette "Chaconne Paysanne" issu de la "Suite de Danse no.2" pour piano, composée par Pierre Fontaine, s’inspire de la forme traditionnelle de la chaconne tout en y intégrant des éléments évocateurs du monde rural. Basée sur un motif rythmique répété, la pièce explore différentes variations harmoniques et mélodiques qui traduisent tour à tour la rigueur du travail de la terre et la vitalité des danses populaires.

La composition se distingue par son équilibre entre la structure classique héritée du baroque et une écriture plus moderne, volontairement dépouillée, qui met en valeur la simplicité et l’authenticité des sonorités. Rodrigo Amarante de Castro Neves (born 6 September 1976) is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. He is part of the bands Los Hermanos, Orquestra Imperial, and Little Joy, and released his first solo record, Cavalo, in Brazil in late 2013 and worldwide in May 2014. He also wrote and performed the (bolero style) narcocorrido "Tuyo", the theme song for the Netflix Original Series Narcos (2015) and Narcos: Mexico (2018), and wrote the score for the film Entebbe (2018). Tuyo - Piano solo

An improvised song without any specific theme or emotion. This was primarily a test of a new microphone position, hence the title. Previously the mic was on the middle of the lid (partially open), but now the lid is fully open and the mic is resting on a music stand about a meter above the end of where the low-pitch longer strings begin. If you have any opinions about this sound compared to my previous recordings, please send me a comment! (Thanks to the folks at Piano World forums for giving some ideas about mic placement.) 

A New Place (experimental piano)

If Pianos Could creates music centered around an acoustic piano which is not bound to any genre (although jazz, classical, and new age are influences). Much of the music is improvised on the spot, leading to a feeling of freedom and being in the moment. Influences include classical music (Debussy), new age, jazz (David Benoit), and others such as Bruce Hornsby and Tori Amos.
