the term "FUNK" has millions of shades, yet my collecting drive is focused on japanese jazz rock, european grooves and latin funk from the middle & south american scene, obscure 45 b-sides, cosmic disco, progressive breaks, all kind of exploitation soundtracks and non-commercial library production music recorded for use in film, radio and tv only.   

as you can hear all my vinyls are recorded & remastered in highest digital sound quality for your full stereo enjoyment!  there's a lot of unknown quality 70s music to be discoverd here, something for everyone and my hope is u regularly come back for more to find new funky food for your ears.

Laboriously defacing forests of score paper in the pursuit of whatever modest reward might accrue to a modern jazz composer (a cup of coffee? tuberculosis?) can get tiring. And don't get me started on the common fiasco that is scheduling rehearsals. The Stern Birds project (excuse the "P" word) is a small respite from all that -- one musician, simple tunes, all recorded quickly using whatever instruments &amp; implements are currently littering my apartment. Please try to forgive the fact that the recording quality of many of these tracks makes "Slay Tracks" sound like "Aja." Some of these are appearing as we speak on a podcast near you!
