We should keep in mind the reason why MUX vol.2 came into being. It is an experience of multiplex moods in the course of a multifaceted grouping of rhythms. At first sight, it is difficult to see the connection between such a variety of tracks, but as our previous compilation, this second one comes together as a diverse yet cohesive package tied together by a wide range of energy levels and it firmly results as a psycheout spectral soundscape.

"Animal Empire" an afro inspired jungle techno swing with a dubby melody and hypnotizing bells while the driving bass-line enhances the macumba vibe. For those affected by swirling sonics beware the vertiginous breakdown, where all seems lost for a brief moment of madness.
Flip the record and hear the sound of Aztec Acid Disco on the “Rise”. With a lot of love for the detail, flute, percussive guitar and shamanic vocals get you into the groove. After a little hang out with the local jaguar warriors the 303 soars up for a flight over the pyramids, until an elevating melody takes this intense beast right into the glowing morning sun.
On the remix mountain Von party glares back into the light from atop his DMT peak and creates a dubby, stripped down, percussion frenzy, that will turn any forest floor upside down.

Shimon - Hearts Of Ficus

Nara is the story of a transformation.

Initiated based on an improvised acapella melody by Bobby McFerrin, the first seeds of Nara has been planted two years ago. Since that day, the track has experienced numerous metamorphoses. What is absorbed through this process has reflected to Nara, which means “an ecstatic state of exclamation” in Turkish. Nara is a musical representation of this process within a universe of delicately woven soundscapes featuring textured vocals, bowed guitar and  analog synthesizers, based on the downtempo rhythms of Ikaru.

The video, on the other hand, narrates an ever-changing journey of linescapes and symbolist traditions of the world, accompanied by the reaction-diffusion patterns, which manifest themselves in nature by many occasions of chemical reactions, such as in the coat patterns of zebras and giraffes. The video is designed, animated and arranged as an algorithmic & generative visual composition by Ali Bozkurt, and no further editing applied to the output of this composition. The journey is in a complete parametric relationship with music, leaving us in the jungle of both the materialistic and spiritual dynamics of the nature.

Insisting upon a genre-free overall style, the sound of Ikaru resonates within a range of eclectic electronic beats, indigenous instruments, and psychedelic techno, sometimes revisiting a lush ambient style.

In its essence, Ikaru seeks music that is "capable of expressing the inexpressible after silence" in Huxley's words.
