The Progcast is our weekly trip around Planet Progressive.  Every Wednesday we transport our listeners to another house music hotbed, striving to find the best DJ talent we can lay our hands on. 

Established acts, World class headliners and new, raw talent all come under our remit, and every week we deliver a brand new and exclusive set for our Members. Our distinguished roster reads like an A-list of talent... Robert Babicz, Blue Amazon, Richie Blacker GMJ/Matter, Steve Parry, Harry Lemon, Framewerk... to name a few!  As we head into our fifth year, the Progcast shows no signs of stopping, with yet more exclusive mixes from Stellar DJ names lined up for 2024!

PFG's annual Mix Collection has reached its fourth milestone, here are the best tracks of 2021, as chosen by our group members, in one extended mix.
This year we continued with the theme of choosing THREE of our groups best DJ's, one from each of our music streams. 

From the weekly Progcast, Lynsey absolutely wowed everyone with her mix of cool breaks and large prog bangers, kicking off the Tribu month in fine style. Kenny Muir's February Exclusive Series mix was a masterpiece in set building, the 303 boss delivered a set designed for the very same events his team is renowned for! Jimi Falconer is the man behind our bi-weekly Alchemy livestreams, that has now passed 50 episodes. The Plethora frontman drops nothing but promos or unreleased tracks for our show, a more exclusive tracklist you will struggle to find!

PFG - The Mix Collection Part Four (Muir, Lynsey, Falconer)

Hello Everyone, and welcome to the first exclusive Progcast from 2022. We continue with our quest to find those perfect progressive beats, so wether you're new to this or a frequent flyer, strap in tight!

Our first mix of the year sees us land in England, and the home of a seasoned rave veteran. With over 25 years industry knowledge to his name, and a CV that writes itself, PFG are proud to kick off a hopefully brighter year.... with MOONFACE!

Deeply entrenched with more than 30 years in the music industry, MOONFACE is transcendent with hope and positivity, his online catalog growing with a stack of releases, remixes and DJ compilations.

His exposure to the superstars saw Sasha choosing “U Get So Give” for his legendary E-Mix in 2000, and then John Digweed signing “Futurized Fears/Overactive" as a double A side for his then brand new Bedrock label. Following this came a mini album, "BETWEEN WORLDS" sold out globally way before the dawn of the internet!

Many top DJs from Burridge, Pappa, Howells, Tenaglia, Cattaneo and Cox supported the MOONFACE sound back in the golden age of dance music, and it was Danny Howells who Phil took over from as Bedrock resident. For 5 years he warmed up in London and Brighton! 

Phil was also touring the globe, playing at many festivals and events while flying the MOONFACE flag. Hot spots in Bali, Japan, Russia, Eastern Europe, Georgia, Malta, and South America. He also held up a long-term residency at the legendary Decadance club Thessaloniki, Greece.

Then came his more recent single "Across the Gulf of Space" released on Bedrock 18 -Signals compilation.  Along came releases, remixes and label compilations for Krafted, Tulipa, Gibbon and Mirabilis, Wolf Trap & Mind-warp, to add to his already glittering back catalog. June 2019 was the most recent mixed compilation, called "FREAKIN’ PROGRESSIVE VOL.1" on label Freakin303.

2020 sees Phil continue to host his FUTURIZED monthly show on Frisky Radio plus presenting his vinyl only live streams via YouTube whenever he's in the mood. December 2020 saw Phil self-releasing for the first time his new double album exclusively on Bandcamp called "PUSHOVER MANKIND". A collection of 8 weird abstract chill out style tracks, and 8 dance floor underground style tracks.  

In 2021 Phil and other Krafted DJs had a show on Radio 1's "Wind down zone" with Paul Sawyer. Then in April John Digweed aired his 5th transitions show (866) featuring only Moonface productions and remixes gaining over 14,000 listens.  One track included called "U Have to Change" was supported by John Digweed in his DJ sets, then went on to be remixed by Nick Muir taking it in a new dance floor direction.

Towards the end of 2021 he started a new monthly Livestream called MOONFACE Plus DJ Mates, featuring Phil's DJ/Producer friends, over on YT, Twitch & Mixcloud. ENJOY THE MIX!

George Alhabel has only been making music since 2017, but before his introduction to all things Electronic, his musical palette was a varied one. Anything from Rap to Heavy metal would influence George, even now.

After his first introduction, and listening to the likes of Deadmau5, Prydz and Jeremy Olander, his musical path was set. Now counting the likes of Tim Englehardt, Dmitry Molosh and Guy J as his standard setters, these peers of the electronic scene are pushing George to bigger things, now and in the future!

Hello everyone, and welcome onboard the PFG Progcast, your weekly 1st Class trip around the world of Progressive Beats....

...and BREAKS! Today our journey goes transatlantic as we head into the US, and a Florida based DJ whose focus is all about those broken drums! Continually forging ahead with his unique sound, and with 25 years experience in the game, PFG Give it up.... for Joe Wink! 

As a child his father owned the counties only Vinyl & Cassette store, therefore Joe grew up immersed in music. He was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time, and that place was Orlando, FL 1992.

His experiences during this time with electronic music and the nightclubs lead way to over 25 years of dedication to the genre of breaks and in particular 'Progressive Breaks'. Inspired by Hybrid, Lostep, Way Out West and Sasha early on helped sculpt his musical taste to involve deep, intelligent and often emotional tunes. 

For the last 7 years his show 'Broken Essence'  has been syndicated internationally on several major stations, and recruits guest mixes from the leading producers and DJs in the genre.  He is a resident DJ on Subcode, the station that airs Broken Essence,  as well as running the 'Progressive Breaks' group on Facebook as a resource to find, share and discuss the genre's best music. Before attending an Anjunadeep concert out here in LA, I started contemplating which DJs are currently on my Mount Rushmore. More specifically whether Jody Wisternoff was or not. I thought about how my favorite music label is Anjunadeep, and how Jody's progressions and melodies are able to move me in ways that current EDM tracks simply cannot.
I had the pleasure of meeting the man himself after his set at LA Exchange. He was going around hugging people taking photos, signing autographs, and cherishing the moment. I spent around the next hour chatting with him about his past success as a member of Way Out West, his current masterpieces, and the future of electronic music. We even did a victory lap around the venue and he danced amongst the crowd as if he was just another concert goer. The guys in his young 40s, has two kids and a wife, and still manages to do the thing he loves most. One of my mottos is that I like to play authentic house for authentic people, Jody clearly embodies this.

So yes... yes he is on my Mount Rushmore of DJs. Now I just have to figure out who are the other three...
