He is not healed yet and each day becomes another step through the pain she left behind. He tries to piece together the broken parts of himself while she goes on as if none of it mattered. He questions whether anything she said or did was real or just another move in a game she enjoyed playing. He knows he did everything right while she treated his heart like something disposable. He is slowly learning to stand again even though the hurt still lingers in every thought and every memory. He is determined to rebuild himself and refuses to let her cruelty define the rest of his life. One day when he is whole again he will walk her way and show her that she never truly broke him. This song is the voice of a man still rising from the damage but certain that strength will return and he will stand taller than the game she played.
