A nomadic spirit tracing her ancestry in the frozen Arctic and mountains of Translyvlania,  Claire is one of the most globe-trotting artists Montreal's electronic scene has to offer. In fact, she just recently concluded a wide-ranging summer tour schedule that included musical jaunts in Switzerland, Germany, British Columbia, and the Honduran Bay Islands. From Piknic Electronik to the Techno Parade, and from MUTEK to Club Der Visionaere, Claire’s music is shaking up dancefloors all over the world. 

With several EPs on vinyl and has released on labels Conceptual, Monoclap, Archipel and more. A bit of a gear junkie, Claire has a small but mighty arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and drum machines. Something just flows when those machines come alive and for 2022, she is shifting her focus to live performance. She's also been hard at work preparing to launch her own label, Planète Secrète. Forsvarlig Arkiv kicks off 2023 with a long-awaited guest mix by some of our favourite local figures: Children of Valis. Recorded at one of their resident nights last December, they took the plunge and delivered a vivid 2-hour trip in Amsterdam’s Shelter.

Being residents at Shelter has given the duo opportunities to curate some of the club’s most interesting nights, and this might just have been the most captivating one to date. By preceding slots of Donato Dozzy, Rrose and Vladimir Ivkovic, the duo took the club as a blank canvas and worked towards a psychedelic atmosphere powered by colourful selections, custom lighting and a buzzing crowd.

The guys are always keen to put down something special and create something worthwhile for both the floor and the culture in a broader sense. Therefore we couldn’t be happier to finally host one of their sessions. Please enjoy.

Who : Simone Giovannetti & Ela Casella. Simone is a DJ and producer born in Terni, Italy. Inspired by Umbria’s landscape, he evokes an ancient and mystical vibe, while maintaining a deep communion with the forces of nature.
E L A is an Argentinian DJ from Buenos Aires who currently resides in Milan. In recent years, E L A has contributed beautiful recordings to several labels and collectives, including Rinse France and Radio Raheem. From start to finish, she weaves together slow techno pieces with ambient soundscapes and subtle rhythms that are filled with surprising changes.

For this set we tried to stay in between deep hypnotic sound, infused with idm, and bass driven tunes, going back and forth between straight 4/4 kicks and syncopated ones.
Lately got bored really easly from all 4/4 sets and find hard to create a connection with the music with all breaks sets because we can't dance how we'd like to, so for me the solution is to try to find an healthy balance between straight 4/4 and breaks in order to get the best from both styles. Simone also played some unreleased from a friend and himself and was super fun to see people dance to our new music!

For the very installment of her show on Rinse FR - Laura BCR is hosting an immersive and groovy mix by Smoke Machine member diskonnected, recorded in Taiwan. Taipei-based organization is celebrating its 10years birthday this year with an impressive worldwide tour with artists such as Agonis, Valentino Mora, Dasha Rush, Garçon and many more. Smoke Machine will land in Berlin at Ohm on October, 12th with a secret and promising line-up. Laura is mixing a vinyl only set the first hour and diskonnected the second hour.
