A nomadic spirit tracing her ancestry in the frozen Arctic and mountains of Translyvlania,  Claire is one of the most globe-trotting artists Montreal's electronic scene has to offer. In fact, she just recently concluded a wide-ranging summer tour schedule that included musical jaunts in Switzerland, Germany, British Columbia, and the Honduran Bay Islands. From Piknic Electronik to the Techno Parade, and from MUTEK to Club Der Visionaere, Claire’s music is shaking up dancefloors all over the world. 

With several EPs on vinyl and has released on labels Conceptual, Monoclap, Archipel and more. A bit of a gear junkie, Claire has a small but mighty arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and drum machines. Something just flows when those machines come alive and for 2022, she is shifting her focus to live performance. She's also been hard at work preparing to launch her own label, Planète Secrète. Waha Festival started back in 2012 with the intention to create a temporary society that is based on sharing and trust, basic and humble human values that are the foundation of a healthy community. Time passing, our goal became clearer with the experience and the results that we’ve gathered over the years...

THE PLAYGROUND
We create a playground in nature where you feel everything is possible, an environment positive for letting go and just be. There is no phone signal to distract you, no stress to reach you, no bird that sings out of tune. Looking at the world of today, it becomes clear that we need this connection to nature and thus ourselves to remember who we really are, get an overview of our lives and act upon it. The more people get closer to themselves, the closer is the change we want to see in the world. We create a playground where you feel confident to be yourself, a safe place to experience yourself and realize your true potential as a free human being.

THE DANCE
Music, ever since ancient times, has been a vehicle for people to access higher realms of consciousness. The repetitive frequency of the shaman’s drum, the ritualic trance dance, these are few instruments we still use to transcend reality. At Waha, we offer a wide variety of music spread over 5 stages to make this trip easy for everyone, independent of the musical taste. The Dance is the universal language with which we communicate and erase all differences between us, it’s our prayer that we raise for a happier world, the harmonious movement with which we shape the air around us in full enjoyment of Life, our peaceful pattern shaping the New World.

THE EXPERIENCE
What we create together, each and every one of us in our own special way, is an energetic space that is filled with our piece of information, it’s the inspirational space to which we are all connected and where we all participate. The synchronicities, the mysterious happenings, they are all parts of this conscious place that we raise through our awareness, a timeless infinite experience of the Now. This is our seed for the present future.

THE COMMUNITY
Wahaland creates the community of people who have been there to experience IT, new friendships occur when all you see is friends, individuals who deeply share the same Love and Openness consciously co-creating a sunny wonderland where everything is possible. It is the sense of community that gives you the extra push of confidence in realizing you can individually and collectively have an impact on the environment. The global family is actually big, and now you experience it.

EDUCATION
Being in nature, one gets to experience an even involuntary change of habits concerning waste management and garbage disposal. We are giving each participant a portable ashtray and a garbage bag at the gate to make everyone conscious of their cigarette butts and personal waste to avoid unnecessary littering on our beautiful location. We expect to find each year the place as wild and clean as we found it the first time, every piece of garbage is spoiling that core feeling of purity and creates a distance between us and nature. NATURE IS BEST ENJOYED CLEAN. We are all guests on this location, there are cows grazing the full warm season so we don’t want them to eat our garbage, please be aware of your personal garbage footprint. Recycling is also part of our Green Goal, trying to leave the minimum waste on this planet. Our dream is to have a sustainable and eco-friendly festival, and everyone is responsible to make it happen. PLEASE THROW YOUR GARBAGE SELECTIVELY. Thank You!

Genocide, June 2025:
Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

The parties responsible have made a mockery of decency, morals, fairness, proportion, or justice, not to mention empathy.  Of what little there was, these concepts will be a lot longer to come back than they were to be struck down.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
