A faint breath filters through abandoned structures, as if something once alive still lingers beneath the dust. Voices echo in hallways filled with rusted machinery, memories rewind in empty parking lots and paper streets. Time collapses into a flickering wavelength, distorting what remains of a nameless place. The silence thickens with each passing moment, until even farewell loses its shape and dissolves into nothingness.

Joe Nora teams up with Yuutsu in August of 2019 at the Inner Ocean Studio for an Artist Residency. Both producers have incredibly distinct styles, Nora with his intricate drums and percussion and that ever present watery vibe, while Yuutsu is the master of slow cinematic drama with simple and emotive melodies. Combined together they produced one of the most interesting albums we’ve heard in recent years, the complimentary pairing yielded amazing results!

Inner Ocean Records is a platform and collective for emerging artists to release music and visual art.
