Deeply influenced by the raw energy and rhythmic complexity of Detroit techno, he weaves its pioneering spirit into his sets, celebrating its legacy while exploring new frontiers of electronic music.
Now, as part of the Berlin-based explorative label @futurepastnosenseoftime , Mogus draws on his years of experience as a promoter and DJ, contributing his distinctive musical perspective and curatorial expertise to the label’s innovative and boundary-pushing vision.

The mix also draws from a lifelong inspiration that runs as a thread through our own music - the contrasts between natural textures, organic decay and fractal blooming sounds set against the quantization, designed function and electric qualities of the built city and the futures they represent, captured in musical imagination. Continuum: a coherent whole characterized as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees.

There are moments in time that encapsulate and represent everything this project stands for. Connection through music, friendship, trust and creativity. Sharing via sound and etching magical moments and experiences in our minds. And thanks to Perpendicular, we might run out of space to store these experiences sooner than we thought. 

Some times music can't be explained and moments can't be captured. But also, some other times, someone was thoughtful enough to record. And luckily, this time, the latter happened, and we have been blessed with the opportunity to share this one of a kind performance. 

Alex, Javi and Joan are a treasure. Connectors, multipliers, and those special types of characters that make all of us grow a bit more. They nurture people and scene around them. And this time, they chose to tell the story of the story that was going on and at the story place itself.  Of course, with their twist. With an approach to art that does not compromise on craftsmanship to deliver a witty, psychedelic and mind altering performance.

This live is a heartfelt tribute to our favourite room in Perpen — a truly magical space.

It is from this very place that a parallel story arises — one absent from Cervantes’ written pages, yet whispered among the wisest and most hidden tongues. They say that once, during a peculiar detour and a wildly psychedelic journey, Sancho Panza and Don Quixote stumbled upon “La Cabaña”.

There, a druid and a paladin — as if summoned from some arcane legend — welcomed them warmly and invited them to spend the night. What followed, it is said, did not unfold in La Mancha, but in this very sanctuary of surreal encounters and mystical energy.

This tale is not found in the official texts, yet it lives on through oral tradition, echoed like a folk myth among those who know where to listen.

We are also sharing the English (Old-style) translation of the story (spoken word), as it is recited in Castilian Spanish.

As we slowly ease out of the warmer summer days, we are delighted to welcome Noah Lyas to the Embodiment podcast series. With more than 15 years of experience in making music and as co-founder of Profundo Collective, he has carved out a space for deep, hypnotic explorations that move masterfully between nuance and vigor.

Noah Lyas reflects on the recording process with striking authenticity:

“During the summer, it gets so hot in my attic studio that making music is almost impossible. Even in the evening, with the windows open, it’s hard to stay focused and attentive while composing; only warm, heavy ambient pads come into being, with crickets providing the rhythm.

This mix was recorded just after all those hot days, when the temperature was finally low enough to dance in the attic again, and to feel what it’s like to be active. It begins calmly, flowing slowly, until the first low notes become possible after which it spills over into rhythmic steps. Just like the transition from those sweltering summer evenings to the creation of this set.”

A fluid journey that rises gently from ambient depth to grounded rhythmic flow, echoing the passage from heat-induced stillness into motion, presence, and dance.

Luismi aka guisvi (@guisvi), a music lover for more than 3 decades, has a wide range of atmospheric music. Exquisite selector and great storyteller, he has always been rather elusive in city clubs, often seen at private parties and the most underground events. His sets of ambient and low-tempo electronica are true journeys with subtle and extended blends. Sequences that breathe, atmospheres, and textures to dance with closed eyes.

It’s our pleasure to feature our friend @tangeladj for the 32nd episode of the Herbarium mix series. She put together a magical trippy yet playful mix, we’re in love with its dynamic.  🌳

Here’s a little insight into Tangela’s choice of a plant as a synaesthetic base for her mix -
Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) or kallara as referred to by the Bundjalung People in Northern NSW is a particularly special native tree. They grow in swampy environments next to bodies of water. I have fond memories soaking in tea tree lakes in the northern rivers, stained brown by the leaves stewing, precious oil seeping into the water. For centuries the Aboriginal people have used this plant for medicinal purposes as a natural antiseptic and tea tree lakes were often sacred women’s spaces used in birthing ceremonies. This shrubby tree doesn’t scream for attention amongst the vibrant flora but its significance runs deep, a swampy healer and spiritual protector. This mix is a sensory soak in the soothing, tingly river, dripping with kallara magic.

She guides the listener through deep, subby, subterranean worlds, encouraging listeners to float up through spacious, textural soundscapes full of unexpected turns, all with a nimble and playful touch. Tangela’s meteoric rise through the underground scene finds its origins in her weekly radio slot on Sydney’s iconic FBi radio 94.5FM, currently in it’s fifth year of broadcasting all things “squelchy, wobbly, gooey, twisty”. Her signature style has translated from the airwaves to dance floors across many of Australia’s cult clubs, DIY warehouses and bush raves, including her own as founder of both dstreet and Minutiae Festival. Her record label Oomycota pushes into the experimental realm of techno, platforming emerging artists from Australia and beyond. 

Alongside curating and throwing DIY events, she is heavily involved in her local community, organising ‘Dance Class’, a series of BIPOC & FLINTA DJ workshops and radio mentorship.

Once again, we journey through a deep state of lucid dreaming with this mind-altering live recording from a true legend — multidisciplinary artist Javier Marimon, whose philosophical approach to his craft continues to inspire us across so many facets of life.

"For each live set, I try to prepare a selection of new or reworked tracks that fit the occasion. The invitation to Lucid Dreams was a chance to revisit a time when I used to explore more intimate music—avoiding obvious beats as a reaction to the big city around me, a direction I had gradually moved away from over the years.

Lately, even the depth of nature and silence hasn’t inspired that ‘ambient’ side of me. Instead, it’s given rise to a foggy, beat-heavy aesthetic—full of bass and speed—which I’m still having fun trying to decode.

This time, though, I had the opportunity to merge the last few years into a kind of dream-state sound exploration—like drifting off to sleep while watching a movie or listening to people talk around you. That’s the feeling at the start of this recording, captured live at Espacio Perpendicular using an SP-404MKII, a 1010 Lemondrop, and a multi-stomp pedal.

I imagined deep silence and invisible, horizontal friends as the abstract audience I was playing for. It made me feel like I was in my own room, just playing like any other day. It’s always special to perform in this space."
