Press release:  NYC based producer / platinum mix engineer Brian Cid has been enjoying the best year of his surging production career. A diverse range of DJs that includes Hot Since 82, Jeremy Olander, Steve Lawler and Danny Teneglia have all declared their love for Brian's work. With his unique fusion of sultry beats, rich textures and uniquely tailored drum work, all rolled up in a vintage analog sheen, it's no wonder that such an impressive list of talent has been championing Brian's work. His recent double A-side release on Guy J's Lost & Found Records has been a production highlight and he closes 2014 with what is perhaps the most anticipated release of his career. Brian's debut EP for microCastle is entitled 'Jukebox' and it comes with three brand new original productions alongside remixes from King Unique and Tom Middleton.

We're thrilled to present "Summer Selections 03," featuring four deep and lush cuts. In this edition, we have handpicked new tracks by label veterans Dezza, Claes Rosen, Espen, and Shane Robinson to complement your summer travel experiences, from scenic drives to revitalizing trips to the beach.

Kicking off the EP, Dezza delivers the deliciously deep and sensual "True," a late-night anthem with an impossibly infectious groove. Fresh off his hit remix of Vintage & Morelli's "Desire," which was supported on radio by Above & Beyond, Dezza continues to craft emotive and layered, yet club-friendly compositions, a niche that he has truly mastered in his decade-long career. We affectionally welcome back Swedish virtuoso Claes Rosen, one of the very first artists to sign with our imprint, for a characteristically melodic and sun-kissed take on Justin Oh's classic, "Good Morning." Summer-flavored instrumentation and a buoyant, yet chilled house groove unite to create an uplifting soundscape. Globally recognized progressive house artist and fellow Silk veteran Espen follows suit with "So Blue," an atmospheric, after-hours gem. Evocative, cinematic textures permeate the other-worldly soundscape from start to finish. Closing out the release, esteemed Irish veteran Shane Robinson submerges the listener into even deeper terrain with "Crystalline," which centers on a cavernous groove and moody, if not foreboding, pads.

Since their Anjunadeep debut in 2014 with ‘You Would / Mad Dog’, Thomas Schwartz & Fausto Fanizza have delivered a steady stream of consistent and quality club ready cuts including the notable ‘Kirk’, ‘Circles’ and most recently ‘Dawn To Dusk’, a definitive highlight from last years iTunes dance #1 album 'Anjunadeep 07’.

As well as becoming firm favourites with the Anjuna fanbase, the Italian duo's distinctive brand of uplifting and emotive house has won them support from industry tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac. Returning with their most extensive release to date, Schwartz & Fanizza deliver 4 classy productions in the form of the ‘Rea EP’.

Opening the package the first of two collaborations with vocalist Susie Ledge, ‘Secret Place’ fuses surging low-end with cascading melodies and wistful lyrics. Next up in rolling balearic style is ‘Voices’ featuring trademark Schwartz & Fanizza chords. ‘I Can’t Be Found’ also features Susie Ledge’s delicate vocals, above an evocative xylophone riff and atmospheric bass grooves. Rounding off the Ep, title track ‘Rea’ is a prime example of their warm sound, packed with harmonic depth and soulful flair, blending chopped vocal samples and shuffling percussion.

«Intricate Records is something tangible and emerging from our long-term friendship and creative relations. – It is hard to imagine that someone will make an objection regarding many associable details and ideas of our creative work. The most significant part is that our preferences and tastes intricately but harmoniously amplify each other in most cases. All of us feel it. That is why the creation of a record label is a logical step for our career».

A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
