Intricate Records is ready to present the long-awaited sequel of the label’s signature compilations. The second issue of «Intricate Sessions» will be released in summer 2014. In accordance with the last year’s tradition, two permanent residents and label co-founders, PROFF and Vadim Soloviev are responsible for compiling and mixing of Volume Two. The main release will be introduced by two samplers. The second sampler will be put together by PROFF. Three tracks from this sampler are already confirmed to appear on Vladimir’s mix later on, these are: «Robots» by Envotion, «The Computer» by Feu d’Or and «Believe» by Local Heroes.

The Dutch trio Envotion continues spreading their extra-sensible electronic sound to the masses. This time the guys from Maastricht composed a track «Robots» and reminded us about the long forgotten subject of human communication with machines and the search for balance between technologies and emotions. Here and there you could trace the reminiscences of the classical «The Robots» by Kraftwerk, however, its content is much more major and cheerful compared to the creation of the German team. Another track in the sampler, also with a title that shows connection with high-tech solutions, was composed by the label’s good old friend, Feu d’Or — two years ago he joined the Intricate catalog with two hits, «Chasin Joe» and «Singapore». 

His latest production, «The Computer», in contrary, is heavyset and outsize, even clumsy, but at the same time not less attractive and melodic than the previous works by this musician. A totally new name for the label and its followers is Local Heroes – are three rugged fellows from Buffalo with very serious commitments to update their status of local scene heroes to the internationally acclaimed trio. One of the first steps in this direction is their original production «Believe», a lightsome track they submitted especially for the second «Intricate Sessions» compilation.

Envotion - Robots [Intricate Sessions Vol.2]

Following the success of his 2024 hit ‘Sweet Escape’, Lexer returns to Purified Records with the deeply immersive ‘The Edge Of Everything’. This track unfolds like a bubbling soundscape, layering shimmering synths over a driving, gritty lead that commands attention. Pulsing percussion patterns build momentum, guiding the listener through a textured journey that feels both hypnotic and forward-moving. Balancing depth with dynamic energy, ‘The Edge Of Everything’ showcases Lexer’s talent for creating rich, evolving productions that hold you in their grip from start to finish.

‘The Edge Of Everything’ artwork is an aerial photograph of a glacial river in Iceland taken by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

Glacial rivers are more than just visually striking - they’re vital lifelines shaped by melting ice and shifting seasons. The Natural Science Institute of Iceland (@natturufraedistofnun) conducts research on the country’s glaciers, ecosystems, and geological features. By monitoring biodiversity and environmental change, they provide the scientific foundation for protecting Iceland’s natural heritage.

Trilucid teamed up with Brett Gould to release The Purpose in August 2025 — a progressive house bomb dropped via the peerless Global Underground. The track picked up support from a wide range of tastemakers including Guy J, Sven Väth, Quivver, Paul Thomas, Sister Bliss, Nick Muir, Braxton and many more.
Following the original release, Trilucid returned to the project with a darker, more underground interpretation. The result is The Purpose (Drum Dub), a moody, rolling, techno-infused rework featuring huge Zimmer-inspired stabs in the breakdown, providing a distinctive and cinematic take that pushes the track into deeper territory.

«Intricate Records is something tangible and emerging from our long-term friendship and creative relations. – It is hard to imagine that someone will make an objection regarding many associable details and ideas of our creative work. The most significant part is that our preferences and tastes intricately but harmoniously amplify each other in most cases. All of us feel it. That is why the creation of a record label is a logical step for our career».

A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
