For our latest Podcast chapter, we are proud to welcome one of Czech Republic’s music scene’s most idiosyncratic personas ~ the producer, DJ and promoter ~ Dominik Knap aka Kletis 🌝

Hailing from the north-most part of the country, an area where breathtaking, dramatic nature and the remnants of industrial activity co-exist in harmony, Dominik’s music channels the deep and the melancholic and crosses boundaries between techno, ambient, drone and halftime drum & bass, coloured with influences from early dubstep and sometimes UK garage. He runs his own imprint DOLEC where he releases his own music alongside a select roster of Czech and international artists. His productions have also notably landed on the French label Accents Records and Secuencias Temporales out of Mexico. Apart from making and playing music, Kletis is a zealous event promoter, co-running a local event series Multiversum and the well-respected annual Shotgun Festival ⛰️🐾

Dominik recorded a mesmerising hybrid set for our Podcast Series, just shy of an hour, for you to dive deep into. A heady meddle of original productions, transfigured samples and found music gems, it oscillates between stillness and movement. In this journey, the drone-drenched soundscapes are the common denominator and the soil in which the percussive and tonal ideas germinate and where they grow from into their final forms. A perfect remedy for those long Autumn evenings lit by candle lights 🕯️✨

For two decades we have been trying to bring a fresh wind to the otherwise musically forgotten border gate of the three countries of the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. And so, for this occasion of our 20th anniversary, we decided to create the music compilation that will at least partially map the atmosphere of the last 20 years. We have always focused on non-mainstream music and diversity in the genres of Autonomic Drum and Bass & Techno, so even though it is a genre-different and varied compilation, all artists have one thing in common, and that is the SHOTGUN FESTIVAL. The result is a compilation of 2x LP 12" vinyl with 12 songs by 12 artists.
