Passion, like a gem of great worth, has many facets. As each one of us goes through life, we explore different enthusiasms & obsessions. Our next story brings us to England where we find Francis Pilkington returning from the wilds of madness in “My choice is made.” After a great wrestling with his conscience, he has arrived at the other end of the tunnel as a self-assured and passionate artist. He will make no compromise in the creation of his artistic endeavors. Whether from a friend or critic, he wants no pity and will rise or fall according to his own actions. We find him criticizing the inconstant appreciator, who might accidentally trip over brilliant creations, but just as often fawn over art of little to no merit. Whatever may come, he will stand on his own two feet & try to remain outside of the influence of those who might pressure him to compromise his ideals.
