Will Belcourt is an internationally recognized multi award-winning, Canadian  artist from Edmonton, Alberta who has garnered respect and attention for the work he creates.

With eight albums to date that include “Sunboat” (2003) “the Kromko Sessions (2005), Full Moon Blanket” (2007), “Obliterate” (2009), “Epoch” (2011), “Crazy Life” (2013), “Annie Baby” (2015), Fusion” (2025) Ahead of his 9th album “ALCHEMY” (Spring 2026) Will released the first single “Show Me How to Live” September 26, 2025. 

Will has received numerous nominations from award shows that include the APCMAS and CAMAS in categories for Best Pop album, Single of the Year Songwriter of the Year, Best Album Cover Design, Best New Artist, Best Producer/Engineer , Best Rock Album, Best Male Artist and Best Song Single, Best Rock Album, Best Group or Duo. In 2011 at the CAMAS he won “Best Rock Album” for the “Epoch” album and he also took home "Best Rock Album " at the APCMAS IN 2015 for "Annie Baby". 

On February 2, 2015 Will was honored and recognized by the City of Edmonton through the 2015 Cultural Diversity in the Arts Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund Awards.  The program was established by the Edmonton Arts Council to recognize that artists from all parts of the world that enrich and inspire Edmonton’s cultural scene.  During the evening event Edmonton Mayor Don Iveson handed out awards, which was held at the Timmes Centre for the Arts.

He has performed and appeared on television, radio and online programs and has been featured in print for various magazines, newspapers, and online blogs and his music is in heavy rotation on radios and streaming platforms around the world. 

He has toured extensively honing his musicality in bands ranging from rock to solo acoustic showcases. He delivers wherever he goes and has had the opportunity to share the stage with many of his favourite artists.

Working with Edmonton Producer Harry Gregg of Legendary Studio Riverdale Recorders, Will plans to release the new album this spring, 2026.

A note about AI assist:

Regarding all my instrumentals, I composed the original works and possess the original manuscripts.  

My compositions are the source material, and for AI assist where used, I create the prompts and style instructions (which is time consuming and require hours of trial and error) at suno.com to produce the final version of the works which I feel are best. What you hear finally is at times the best of perhaps dozens of variations after much work is put in to produce the final outcome.  I try to find the right balance between what I composed originally, and what I envision is perhaps a better result with the assistance of AI.  I also aim for a realistic reproduction should live performance ever be a consideration.

For songs with Lyrics, I am the lyricist in every case, and the music is built from AI where I provide specific instructions as to style, genre, tone, key, and so forth. 

Some tracks are exceptions to the above descriptive process, and when this occurs that track itself will include how the track was developed in its description.
