"It's a Mediterranean blue spilling from my heart, filling me up. Cool, deep, fathomless - between light and dark." 

This is how poet Gainor Ventresco describes "the perfect blue" in one of their poems. While it's unlikely that Ventresco had any ties with Italian DJ and producer Luigi Tozzi, these words perfectly capture the sensation that Tozzi's music evokes. Connected to the Mediterranean and deeply passionate about the ocean, his "Deep Blue" series transports listeners to a peaceful dreamlike state. The vastness of the universe and our subconscious worlds are perceptible within its depths.
Tozzi's refined take on techno in his live sets and productions has gained him increasing attention over recent years. Not to forget his impeccable storytelling skills as a DJ (highly recommend the Acquario Immersioni Sets Pt. 1 & 2), specifically showing up in longer DJ sets where the light and the dark go hand in hand, as they do so in life. 
Luigi shared with us a Live Podcast featuring some unreleased material - this mix is enveloping and absorbing simultaneously.  It is in such a way, that one could feel getting pulled into a magical vortex.

On our wishlist for our mix and Artist of the Moment series for some time now, we connected with this highly analytical, extremely dedicated, genuine and kind artist from Rome.

For the past decade, Feph (Stephanie Reyes) has been steadily focusing on sound design and modular synthesis to create her own appeal to electronic music.

The most recent years have also been dedicated to the growth of two record labels, Zosimos and Alchemista Records. Both are showcasing a spotlight on international talent, while also maintaining a regular schedule of self-releases on both vinyl and digital imprints.

Her music has also gained international support, being released on labels succh as Palinoia, The Gods Planet, Subsist, Further Sessions, Analog Solutions, and Omnidisc, to name a few. 

The current focus is on production and live performance, which has already been showcased in venues such as Miami's Club Space- The Ground, and iiiPoints Festival. 

Feph continues to create with an experimental approach in mind, paving her unique way in a wide-ranging wordl of electronic music.

Ness is the alias of Andrea Deplano, a pioneering force in the world of deep and hypnotic techno, with a career spanning over a decade. Raised in Sardinia, with a background in sound engineering and a passion for obsessive rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes, he has honed his craft to masterful levels. His performances and productions are a journey through the depths of techno, with a focus on hypnotic rhythms and immersive textures. Over the years, he has performed at some of the world's most renowned clubs and festivals. He has also collaborated with several respected labels in the industry, showcasing his ability to seamlessly incorporate contemporary sounds in his productions. In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, he has also made significant contributions to the techno community sometimes as an event organizer more often as a label manager. In 2010, he co- founded The Gods Planet, an Italian electronic music label that quickly gained recognition for its innovative and high-quality techno releases.
Through his music and label work, Ness has become an ambassador for the hypnotic techno movement. His tracks are beloved by fans worldwide for their ability to transport the listener to otherworldly realms.

We are happy to share the recording from Night Sea's performance at Endzeit in San Francisco.

Night Sea provided us with some words to go alongside the session -

After experiencing the refined vision of psychedelic dancefloor music curated by the team at Mostra Barcelona, we knew that the next direction for us was to integrate all the inspiration we gathered there into our own music. During that same time frame, our friends at Endzeit approached us about collaborating on a show with the legendary Neel in our hometown of Oakland, California. 

Their event series has reignited our love for techno here in the SF Bay Area, crafting a refined and immersive experience with rigorous attention to sound, lighting, space design, and musical programming. On July 20th 2024, what transpired was a hazy dancefloor in a concrete den, brought to life by entranced dancers and a tightly tuned custom sound system from Neptune Audio. 

Using a mix of analog hardware and digital tools, we improvised our way through the arrangement building on the energy of the crowd. 

The recording here is a studio version of that material, created with the MNMT Live podcast in mind. Some moments might sound vaguely familiar, taking stems from our Silent Season album *Still* and remixing them into higher tempos. The majority of this set, however, is made of new compositions exploring an energized view into the hypnotic and meditative style we’ve crafted over the last 8 years together. Expect to see some of this material released via the upcoming Endzeit label later this year. Our immense gratitude to MNMT, Endzeit, Neel, Neptune Audio, Subset Visuals, and our friends who created this opportunity for us. Warm wishes to our listeners from California!
