Philipp Priebe is an artist we have discovered not so long ago, but who has become one of our favorites very quickly. His own productions and his recent 'Apparent Calm Palms' album really hit the spot, and we are super excited that Philipp has delivered the very first live set on Far Blue. 

"This live set was recorded around Christmas 22 in my Berlin flat, after I finished the last bigger project of the year. I thought it would be a nice thing to have a set that suits an early festival evening, with an intimate and emotional atmosphere but still working on a house/dub techno floor, with Transfiguration hitting the set when the sun is setting down and you could already need a rest from all the dust and sweat around you. Afterwards the day unfolds into the night, as the set does as well. It ends with a new track, called Fever Dreams with a slightly theatrical note, wishing you well and waving goodbye until then."

Philipp @priebe runs his label Stólar, out of what most claim to be the mecca of techno, Berlin. Born and raised in a small town in Saxony and musically educated in the city of Greifswald at the Baltic Sea, Philipp Priebe get his main inspiration from nature, just like the most famous son of the City - Caspar David Friedrich. Philipp has been steadily building a reputation as a talented producer and live act steadily exploring the depths of deepest dub techno and hazy deep house. Over the past few years, his material and the @stolarrecords imprint have moved from strength to strength, gathering a steady following from many leading figures in the world of raw, emotional deep house and techno. The past few years have seen Philipp unveil a series of EP’s on Stólar plus more for @grad_u dub techno-focused @greyscale-music-lt imprint and most recently a well-received long player for Tim Eder & Fossar’s Hamburg-based Feuilleton.

Last summer, on this wonderful sunny day in august, i had invited one of my favorite DJs and friend, @lux-io, to play some records with me at the Paloma summer camp in the beautiful garden of Festsaal Kreuzberg. A bunch of friends came over to enjoy some cold drinks in the sun, have a chat and listen to our music. The relaxed and easygoing atmosphere had a direct impact on our track selection and resulted in a very nice 5,5 hours b2b session full of deep. Luckily, i recorded the whole thing.
