Based out of London and creating a fresh wave in the world of Techno is @acaera / @basischange . He has released tracks on renowned labels such as The God's Planet, Edit Select, Circular Limited and Affin where his latest EP 'Links' will release on the 12th of Jan.

We were hooked on to his last EP 'Cease' released on Circular Limited and noticed how quickly it was getting support by some great artists on their mixes. We knew that his mix would definitely share the subtle yet strong undertones of deep and hypnotic sounds... and we weren't wrong! Sit tight and tune into a raging yet melancholic journey. We're very thrilled that he has featured two of his upcoming tracks from his upcoming EP in this mix and they are pure fire!

Martinou has built a distinct sound, blending deep, atmospheric textures with intricate rhythms to form a soundscape that is both immersive and emotionally evocative. After having Martinou to play a closing set at Borisov for our Far Blue x Pintai event earlier this year, we could only look forward to the next time we would be able to share his music with you. An artist who truly pushes the boundaries with the tracks he produces and the mixes he puts together. 'ecotone' captures his essence of Far Blue, crafted entirely from his own creations.

"an ecotone is an area where two biological biomes meet and blend into each other. one biome may extend further into the other at one point and the lines can easily blur; where does one biome end and the other start? this is a recording of what i’ve come to uncover from my mind and record whilst in my innermost haven. like the ecotone, the music is always flowing, ever changing."

Dubstep-tech hybrids from one of 2024's most forward-thinking breakouts.

Born in France to English parents, Beatrice M. is a product of two environments. And like many third culture kids, this lends the Rinse France resident and Bait label head a knack for seeing the realm of possibility beyond arbitrary borders and binaries.

Beatrice M. is a part of a wider cohort of artists spearheading an elastic take on dubstep: take Carré and Introspekt in the US, EMA in Dublin and Mia Koden in London, to name a few. Collectively, they are not only pushing greater representation and diversity, but ensuring a broader palette of sounds find home within the genre's renaissance.

Where dubstep got trapped down a brostep cul-de-sac in the early 2010s, 2020s already seems to be all about a charming phrase Beatrice M. employs: siblingstep. Their RA Podcast, a "full femme, non-binary, trans productions set," is testament to that.

RA.961 finds Beatrice M. embracing the softer, more intimate edges of their sonic world. There's cuts from Grace Jones and rRoxymore, a fresh tech-house venture under the alias B. McQueen and heaps of siblingstep. All in, it's an hour of past reverberations, present rhythms and glimmers of future horizons.

“With this mix I tried to find the deeper layer of certain tracks and not limit myself too much with different tempo’s ranges. If it fits the vibe and helping the flow, it’s probably the right spot.

Creating a mix is an interesting creative outlet to discovering new possibilities and refining the art of setting the tone. Balancing on that thin line with endless opportunities, reflects the perfect capture of the feeling and learnings of today.”

Trust is the secret ingredient that makes an event more than just a night out. Whether it’s a party or a festival, knowing that the people behind it are genuine music devotees changes everything. Mostra Festival has built that trust over time, and for a good reason—they’re music nerds through and through. For this week's mix on "Delayed with..." series, one of Mostra’s core members steps up to the decks at Barcelona’s beloved Laut, debuting a new alias: Corsair, the latest incarnation of Josh Hoppen.

This mix is a dispatch from the front lines of ExtraMostra, an international celebration of Mostra’s ethos that recently touched down on home turf in Barcelona featuring Josh Hoppen aka Corsair, Muted, and Memory Palace. On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

Next up in our mix series is Shoal, a Dutch producer and DJ who recently relocated to Prague. Known for his hypnotic, emotionally layered sound, Shoal crafts deep, transportive journeys through trippy textures, modular synthesizers, and rolling rhythms. A core member of the ISOTOOP collective, he’s performed at leading underground spots like De School, Tresor, and Ratherlost. His releases on labels like Tikita, Harmony Recordings, Monument, our own Ute.Rec, and most recently Animalia, continue to expand and refine his unique sonic voice within the scene.

In this mix, Shoal delivers a 1.5-hour live set full of acid-dripping techno, spacey atmospheres, and heads-down minimalism. It’s a slow-burning, carefully building mix that captures the raw live sounds and subtle depth that define his sound. A live-set working just as much the mind as the body.

This time our guest on CBDSH series is Viels from Italy with a fabulous outer space mix! Known for his superb productions on established techno labels and music selections as a DJ, this mix a showcase in deepness that fits the ethos of DSH like a glove. Drop everything else for the next 69 minutes and enjoy the ride.

Bio:
Class 1990, Viels was born in a little city outside Milan (Italy). Early in his adolescence he discovered techno culture inspired by a book called “TECHNO“ by Christian Zingales. Having released his first Ep on Initial Berlin in 2015, Viels continued his musical path appearing with a track on the well respected dutch imprint Dynamic Reflection, followed by his debut ep “Distrophism” and contributing for the 10 years anniversary of the label, among some of the most recognised artists in the scene : Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search and many more.
Co-owner with Francesco della Sala of “End Of Perception”, Viels just released also on label such Warm Up, Non Series, Mord, and Semantica Records.
At the moment he is resident of the Acquario party in Milano and an active part of the organization of it.
With an increasing interest and having performed in quality clubs like Tresor, Perron, Cassette, Schron and shared the booth with the likes of Oscar Mulero, Svreca and Dasha Rush to name a few, Viels is establishing himself as part of a new wave of djs and producers approaching the contemporary techno scene.

The haze of Paral·lel festival has barely lifted, but we’re rewinding to another moment worth lingering on, February in Granada, at the Moonback club. There, under the warm glow of the Extramostra banner, Mostra linked up with the Klub Collective for a night that balanced local soul with an international touch. The lineup reads like a heads-only dream: Timnah, Antonio Vázquez, Refracted, and a solid core of Klub Collective residents including Fran Acosta, Kaizen, and Utopian. The kind of night that reminded us why the first slot matters more than most people admit. It’s the architectural role: shaping the night’s flow from zero.

Utopian did just that. His set unfolds like a slow exhale, dub-laced ambient that creeps, swells, and gradually transforms into chugging, low-slung techno hypnosis. It’s a patient climb: syncopated, restrained, precise. Not a single cheap move, just deep focus and floor logic, the kind that sets the table without stealing the meal. But make no mistake, this was a statement. A warm-up that didn’t just support the night, but elevated it.

Hagva began in 2022 as a shared experiment between CP1 and Not Mass, artists closely tied to Milan’s Evolvere collective and Stagno Records. What started as a dialogue has grown into a practice of dismantling rhythm and building it back stronger, threading techno through post-club ruptures, industrial grit, and deep ambient undertones. From Evolvere’s underground nights in Milan to RSO Berlin, Module CPH, Buka Milano, Tempovìa, and Zurich’s D.A.S., their sets have carried the same uncompromising edge: a refusal to settle into comfort, constantly pulling dancers into new terrain.

The mix we present today is a three-hour live recording from their set at D.A.S. in Zürich earlier this year, capturing Hagva in full flight. There’s no easing in, it’s a straight leap onto a fast-moving train, powered by relentless percussion and groove, with sudden swerves that snap the floor awake. Heavy, urgent, and unpredictable yet always precise, it’s a reminder that energy doesn’t need excess to be overwhelming. For those hearing them for the first time, it’s the perfect entry point; for those who already know, it’s another layer of proof. With their debut EP arriving September 15 on Stagno Records, this set stands as a clear statement of intent.

With the summer festival season drifting into memory, it feels like the right moment to linger on one of the most thoughtfully shaped events in recent years. The Mostra Festival unfolded over the Easter weekend across two Barcelona locations, and what set it apart wasn’t just the programming, but the curation - a balance of trust, patience, and precision. The first two days leaned toward the ambient and the experimental, tipping into rhythm as the nights wore on. Yet the real magic of that opening stretch lay in the beatless hours. Friday in particular offered a moment that still reverberates among Mostra regulars and beyond: Robert Henke’s performance of Dust. If there is any place in the world designed for such a work, Mostra provided the perfect frame. For one afternoon, Henke held the crowd in complete attention and reverence, something essential for any artist, but especially for one whose work is as delicate, shifting, and expansive as Dust.

For many of us, Robert Henke, Monolake to longtime listeners, has been a constant presence in the background of our musical lives. His records shaped taste, his performances redefined how electronic music could be experienced live, and his role as co-creator of Ableton changed the very tools we use to make and share sound. Few artists can claim such a dual legacy: architect of both the music and the machinery. Whether in moments of joy or frustration, whether in the studio or on the dancefloor, it’s impossible to imagine modern electronic music without his fingerprints on it. Henke embodies the link between technological innovation and artistic expression, and his influence runs deeper than most of us can trace.

Dust is perhaps the clearest expression of that link. Powered by a custom granular synthesis engine, it reduces sound to particles, field recordings, analog tones, machine hiss, bells, and waves, then disperses them into clouds that evolve in real time. The result is less like a composition and more like a living organism: fragile, unpredictable, always becoming something new. At Mostra, this unfolding took shape in late afternoon, after Patrick Russell’s set had sharpened the air with its own restraint. Henke stepped in with a 360-degree surround system that transformed the floor of Fabra i Coats into a resonant body. The sound was cosmic and liquid, grainy and immense, stretching outward until it seemed to erase the horizon. Every surface in the space shimmered with detail, as if the air itself had been tuned. What made it remarkable was how fragile it all felt. Nothing was forced; every movement seemed to arise on its own, like dust caught in late-afternoon sunlight. Yet the immersion was total. People surrendered, leaning into the space as if trying to hold onto something that could never be held. For that hour, Mostra wasn’t a festival anymore. Delayed x Mostra: Robert Henke presents Dust

The first thing you notice in Beau Beaumont’s Delayed with mix isn’t aggression or volume, but control. Each layer slots into place with a clarity that leaves no room for drift. It’s techno in high resolution - grooves stretched to their limit, shifts measured with care, a ride that never collapses under its own weight.

That clarity comes from experience. Years spent running one of the UK’s most forward-thinking parties, building an independent label Meine Nacht, and diving into modular synthesis have sharpened Beau’s ear for pacing and design. Her work ranges from NTS residencies to commissions for Nike and the WDR Studio for Electronic Music. Still, it’s this same multidisciplinary edge that you hear here, surgical mixing, grooves that never stagnate, and a sense of movement that feels both human and machine. This is propulsion without fatigue: a set built to carry you, wherever you are.

Perpendicular Festival unravels as one continuous thread, bending and reforming across days and nights until the sense of time itself begins to dissolve. From Friday afternoon to the first pale hints of Monday light, the forest carries a constant flux of sound, shifting from floor-focused intensity to moments of near-weightless suspension. The turning point comes when the moon hovers over the DJ booth on the main stage and the current draws inward: La Cabaña, a wooden cabin hidden among the pines, becomes the gathering place for music at its most unguarded and exploratory. Here, reality softens, and performances take the shape of dreams.

It was in these hours between Friday and Saturday that STBL opened the portal. His set arrived quietly, almost imperceptibly, whispers in the air, static drifting like dust in moonlight. Slowly, harmonies began to shimmer and unfold, shadowed by pads that seemed to stretch toward some unreachable horizon. Beneath it all, a subtle rumble grew, reassuring, like company long imagined finally appearing at your side. Nothing felt rushed; each sound seemed to wait for the moment it was meant to reveal itself.  

The power of the set lies in its restraint, in the way it suspended time and quietly rewrote it in the minds of those present. A moment like this resists fading; it lingers, carried forward as a story that will be told again and again.

Delayed x Perpendicular: STBL (live)

The fire at the center of the floor was more signal than warmth against the countryside chill. Sparks shot upward into the night as dancers circled around, bodies locked into the pulse spilling from the booth. Above Below Festival thrives on these elemental juxtapositions: a rural valley transformed into a site of intensity, a cocoon-like booth channeling waves of sound that felt larger than the space itself. With every kick drum, the edges of the night blurred, and for hours the crowd existed in a suspended orbit around light, heat, and rhythm.

It was here that Timesplitters, Jake and Pat, took hold. Their set drove forward on cavernous bass, but the force alone wasn’t what bound the floor; it was the shifting mid-range voices, synth lines and melodic sequences mutating like smoke from the fire, wrapping dancers in a narrative of tension and release. They approached the set less as selectors and more as authors, tracing the night with a balance of discipline and wildness. Despite their name, there was no split in time, only the sense of one continuous current, shared in firelight, smiles, and unbroken motion.

I feel like I speak for a lot of us when I say this past year has been challenging and full of a lot of heavy changes. As the days start to get longer I feel like the light is finally starting to come back. This mix is essentially a musical representation of a lot of emotions I’ve been feeling over the past few months. I decided to not focus on technical mixing so much with this per se but was more aiming to showcase a collection of songs new and old from over the years that have helped me process and move forward. I hope this narrative of sounds resonates with whoever needs to hear it right now. Onward and upward my dudes. Happy solstice.

As we all hunker down at home for survival from the Corona virus, I'm unable to get to the studio to do my usual live weekly radio show. So I've decided instead to record a weekly mix from home. Similar in style to Departures, featuring new and recent music, but selected and arranged to reflect some of the feelings we're all facing in these unprecedented times.

Like a lot of places, we're in the midst of a second lockdown here in the UK.  This combined with the damper, duller days of winter, is adding an extra level of challenge to staying motivated and upbeat through these difficult times.  I've designed this mix to encapsulate some of those slightly dark, muddy, unsettled feelings, and contrasted them with a few of the hazy touches of summer that I'm craving, that feel more like a distant dream at the moment.  If like me, you're feeling little low right now, then you might as well go with it but the hope is that the summery touches give you a lift and the mix leaves you in a better place at the end.  Stay positive, turn it up and enjoy...
