Means&3rd - Thought Contortion EP - NUANCE001

Unveiled Nuance is the newly founded imprint by Manchester’s Means&3rd, a platform solely for his own productions. The Eastern Bloc Records staff member inaugurates his debut vinyl release with 3 tracks covering a balance between hypnotic and driving techno, in keeping with his adopted style of recent years.

‘Thought contortion’ opens the EP with a thunderous low end, propulsive rhythms and immersive sweeps of sound design, teamed with modulated synth patterns that assist the unfolding of its persistent structure. ‘Fragility of perception’ follows with its elastic 3 step synth groove and reverb rich textures which provide the bed while the percussion provides an airy dynamic. ‘Aural Dissociative’ closes the EP with an all-together headier affair, a dynamic drone providing the backdrop while flickers of rhythm supplement its evolution and heavily modulated lead lines take the focus.

Pressed on 140g Black Vinyl, reverse board full colour print sleeve with poly-lined inner sleeve complete with download code via bandcamp.

Founder and sole curator of Connection Verified, ADMINISTRATOR, presents: underADMINISTRATION, our first official full-length album and 21st release on the Connection Verified Recordings series. Its penultimate work, underADMINISTRATION contains 11 original tracks representing the digitality of ADMINISTRATOR’s world. The tracks range from blissful electronic explorations, stripped back rhythmic cuts, and straight up bleep funk, to contorted drum tracks, full force club weapons, and oddball synthesised experiments. 

Our premiere for today 'sample.28h-voc' is a melodic techno journey that is driven by hypnotic arpeggio which is pierced through by haunting synth stabs that add drama to the track.

Häufig sieht man ihn als Teil der PVC Crew in der DJ Booth oder als Mitveranstalter verschiedener Partyreihen des Kollektivs auf der Tanzfläche.


What Juke Dordan reveals in his sets is a well-founded examination of cross-genre releases and a skillful merging of different sound surfaces. This results in a picture on the dance floor that is characterized by energy, changing rhythms and a positive atmosphere. He is often seen as part of the PVC crew in the DJ Booth or as co-organizer of various party series of the collective on the dance floor.
