what a whirlwind of a travel month june has been. this sunday finds myself back at home after an extended trip for waking life. so many emotions, so many friends, both new and old, experiences both good and bad. i will be processing it all for quite some time. i feel so fortunate to be able to make these trips, and while i may be tired, i feel so inspired and appreciative of it all.

o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

“The idea for the mix was born from a series of contiguous and isomorphic fever dreams. The mix takes the form of 3 different chapters and follows my trajectory that night within dream space: 3 times being lulled into sleep by arrhythmic ambience, 3 times being pulled into a colder, atonal space, and 3 times escaping discord towards tranquility. The mix drifts out of pure ambience into 3 sections at 3 different BPMs: the first of which explores half-timey 80 BPM grooves and liquid DnB; the second explores chugging 100 BPM and trip-hop grooves; the final part explores 120 BPM psy breaks and IDM.”

After growing up on the renegade scene of Montreal, como se DJ moved to Brooklyn and founded the DIY party series RECESS with the intention of bringing a psy-forward sound he felt was missing in New York City. Inspired by forest raves and experimental dance music, he dreamt up his party with the desire to conjure the feeling of dancing in open nature with your friends. como se DJ’s sets strikes a balance of body- and heart-activating psychedelia. At once mischievous and emotional, he pulls in sonic elements of bass, deep techno, prog and electro, flirting with genre and groove, while maintaining a lush, blissed-out undercurrent.

Story on why i made this: Once apon a time there was a bored ahh music producer. he wanted to try something new to make music on. hmmmm. i wonder what the cheapest REAL Daw out there is?!?!?! its obviously reaper bc its only $60. plus, he didn't have to pay a dime for this program because he found leaked credentials online and used them to his advantage. it took him 1 day to learn reaper with barely any tutorials (this proves how skilled he is)... so yea. new daw uhhh... new ummm.. law... yea ig that rhymes. well anyways. listen to the the song and if u already did, than good for you.

rate the song pls and givce feedback. hopefully i dont switch to reaper after paying hundreds of dollas on fl :cry:
