This track draws inspiration from the enigmatic symbolism and messages entwined within our dreamscapes, seamlessly weaving together the deep jungle soundscapes with the melodious essence of desert landscapes and eastern temples. A deep bassline & textured percussion intertwines with live recordings from the studio, including the Baglama saz, Quena Flute, and tablas, resulting in a captivating fusion of sounds.

Iyakuh & Lo.Renzo - Decoding dreams

Quixotic has collaborated with Drrtywulvz on his original track Distant Pyramids, and also remixed it for their live performances. Today they are giving away the remix ahead of their upcoming new Quixotic EP being released in September, featuring more original music along with remixes of Distant Pyramids by Michal Menert, Nominus, Space Jesus, and David Starfire. The new as yet unnamed EP will be engineered by none other than Ron Lorman, known for his work with Frank Zappa and Miles Davis in the 70’s and 80’s. This remix blends vibrant strings with driving drums and psychedelic sound bites giving this track an other-worldly feel.

Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project just between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album with a total of 25 contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 2 is slated for a November 1st release on the DD Bandcamp page, and features sonic reinterpretations from Emancipator, Aligning Minds, Mumukshu, Sixis, David Starfire, Whitebear, Erothyme, Mystral, Master Minded, Halfred & Enzalla, Lulacruza, Bumble, Soohan, and Supersyllius. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.
