The Metalheadz back catalogue features almost every major figure in the history of drum and bass, and is one of the most innovative labels out there, consistently crossing boundaries with its releases since 1994. The labels output continues to showcase a maturing genre of music that displays influences from reggae, hip-hop, house and techno with highly-sophisticated and intricately-produced tracks, contrary to the image of the music that is typically presented by the mass media.

Releasing music from some of the biggest names out there whilst at the same time pushing and letting new talent break through are the reasons why Metalheadz continues to stay at the forefront of electronic music.

The Metalheadz label was also the driving force behind the seminal Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at London's Blue Note club. Today, Metalheadz club nights are often sell outs with the label also regularly hosting stages at some of the biggest festivals across the world.

Barclay Crenshaw makes electronic music that includes bass, dub, jungle, funk and hip-hop. His performances seamlessly blend genres, creating an immersive experience that transcends traditional boundaries. Barclay’s ability to connect with diverse audiences and create an unforgettable atmosphere has earned him a following of like-minded oddballs. Originally a house music producer called Claude VonStroke and the founder of Dirtybird Records, his shift in sound further cement his long-standing reputation for innovation and authenticity.



Marcus Nasty is a true titan of the underground, a tastemaker supreme who works tirelessly to discover new sounds, the David Rodigan of UK Bass. How many DJs can lay claim to having pioneered three distinct genres that each changed the face of British dance music? This East London-born selector first rose to fame as head of grime legends NASTY Crew, back when legendary MCs such as Newham Generals, Kano and Jammer were just young men starting out on their careers. Now the style he helped usher in is a worldwide phenomenon.

Fast forward to 2009 and Marcus could be found destroying Ayia Napa floors as a founding father of Funky. He was one of the first to champion UK attempts to tap into the worldwide house music phenomenon as a new style of fiercely British, UK garage, grime and dancehall-influenced beats. Nasty’s increasing prominence and reputation for adventurous musical choices swiftly led to the weekly primetime Rinse FM show that he still heads up to this day.

The last 5 years have seen Marcus champion the burgeoning underground UK  scenes as he stayed ahead of the curve on Bass House and UK Bass before coming full circle and spearheading the reinvigoration of UK Funky. A Marcus Nasty set is a battle royale of darkling beats, rambunctious low end and that unmistakable gully vibe. For a direct connection to the source, to the rawness, energy and pure destructive power of the underground, accept no imitations.

MIKA SNICKARS
- DJ, Producer and Founder of the "Snickars Records" vinyl record shop est 1995.

Born and raised in a Northern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden.

Started DJing in 3rd grade at School Discos and community youth centers.

Early influences were dad's Jazz record collection, his older sisters reggae and disco cassettes and local radio shows like Brother Memos "Funk Department", Rinkeby International, FMAK, Disco 91 to name a few.

Mikas DJ style originates from Hip-Hop and has developed throughout the years by
working many different type of crowds.

Genre wise, Mika has been working with both Hip-Hop and Dance as well as the current retro scenes - Disco, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Afro, Balearic etc.

Was involved in the Early Rave scene in Stockholm and have had numerous resident nights since.
In his strive to touch up his DJ skills, Mika has participated in the DMC Swedish DJ championships which he finally won in 1998.

During 1995-2000 he was touring with his Turntablist crew- Scratchaholics.

Mika has been involved in some local music productions and also did re-edits for Finnish Record Labels - Lifesaver and Sähkö Recordings.

Recently, Mika has been putting out edits on his own acetate imprints.
Mika Snickars is a recurrent name in the Scandinavian nightlife.

Current direction for Mika is to go deeper and explore more music both new and old.

Mika is also the second half of Svenska Disco Kyrkan.
