i wrote this song during the most depressive time period in my life. i was severely addicted to marijuana and used it daily to escape from the problems in my life. ultimately, that didnt really help me at all and made me feel even worse. the weed would make me severely paranoid, and worsened the depression i already had. it left me feeling suicidal and like a burden to be around. i wanted to give up due to the pain i was experiencing, and i needed a way out of the constant loop that was my life at that time. eventually i decided to identify the problem. i put the plant down, took proper care of myself and i wrote this song to heal. since then, my life hasnt been perfect, but ive definitely felt alot better. this song is basically a goodbye letter to marijuana and a hello to the life i wanted back. i wrote this for myself, and anyone who relates. if u do relate, i am so sorry but just know that i see u and i hope that this song can help u heal the same way it did for me.
