Jack and the Other (JATO) is an Atlanta, GA based indie electronic duo comprised of brothers Jack Muta and Cal Brown. JATO’s music is a balanced fusion of classic pop, experimental R&B, future funk, lo fi jazz and downtempo electronica featuring charismatic production, soul-laden vocals, and a broad range of artistic influence both classic and modern. Utilizing live instrumentation and electronic sound design, JATO's music is a seamless marriage of styles, existing carefully at the intersection of unique experimentation and approachable familiarity. With comparisons to acts such as alt-J, Glass Animals, Chet Faker, and Stoplight Observations, the end product of their collaboration is a nuanced exploration of the space between genres. Jack and the Other's debut EP Circles was released in January of 2019 and has currently racked up over one million plays across streaming platforms. On Septermber 20, 2019, the duo released first followup single to Circles, called "Lost in Space." JATO released a three-song EP called Aspera at the end of of 2020. In October of 2022, the band released their third album, the Sunglass EP, whose singles “I Need It," "Flare," "Push Push," and "Tell Me Straight" dropped once a month beginning in June.

Currently, Jack and the Other is shooting music videos, writing new music and finishing up the development of their live show with the assistance of drummer TJ Harris.
