Helping me Draw The Line this week it's  Lauren who’s from London. She is Development Lead and core DJ at female collective Sisu, having learnt to DJ at a Scratch DJ Course at the Southbank in January 2017. Since then she has played events such as Womb 2, Women of the World Festival, Noisily, Threads Radio showcase in Berlin and MODEL at The Cause. Her style is an eclectic fusion of genres, textured percussion and harmonies, entrenched in solid techno rhythms. Her debut release, “Forgiveness” was released in July 2020 on the Spheres of Sound compilation, released by Shifting Spheres collective in aid of Southall black sisters.

In 2014 Maree aka Queen of Hearts moved to Berlin from New Zealand to study Electronic Music Production. Whilst in Berlin she met Marcus and they combined their talents to form 11 Unicorns  Their live show combines DJ sets and live music performance with synthesizers, percussion and drums, creating a very unique sound and club experience. Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
