Helping me Draw The Line this week it’s  Heather Helix who is a Poznań, Poland based DJ with a background in classical music. Her DJ-ing career started after she won a mix contest organized by Oramics collective in 2019. Since then, she’s regularly appeared at local clubs and has also played in clubs in Wroclaw, and Krakow. Her multi-genre sets cover the entire music spectrum from techno, electro and trance to acid. Her record collection is dominated by arpeggiators, Roland TB-303’s, processed vocals and melodic leads.

Deeply moved by the show’s support for female musicians, their live set draws inspiration from Kahlil Gibran's poetry collection "The Prophet," using the chapter ‘On Beauty’ as a vocal sample to convey the message that everyone is whole and perfect. The project features a total of 10 original tracks, collaboratively produced by Fin, San, and Joe (collectively known as FSJ).and it’s dedicated to all women.

Her entry in the recent Drumcode Mha Iri remix contest was runner up and her tracks have been played by artists like Kevin de Vries, Juliet Fox, Teenage Mutants and many others. Her DJ sets are a combination of old school sounds and modern elements creating dynamic driving techno sets. This is the page for Jacki-E and her own original tracks and mixes. Together with her partner P-Mac, she has two weekly radio shows, A Darker Wave, which streams every Saturday on NLive Radio, Circl8 Radio & Echo Radio, playing the best in underground techno, tech house and deep house; & Draw The Line Radio Show every Friday on Echo Radio and every Saturday on Circl8 Radio featuring the best music by female & gender minority DJs and Producers.
Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
Jacki-E & P-Mac write and publish their own original tracks and re-mixes, play DJ sets in clubs, at private parties and for radio shows and podcasts .
